Me and my husband usually go to Pollo Asadas in Midland but we saw this place and wanted to give it a try. LET ME TELL YOU! They definitely have a new loyal customer in us 👏🏾 when we got there they had just finished a large catering order so they were out of chickens but offered to make more if we were willing to wait about an hour. We have been wanting to try them since we moved here so we opted to run a couple errands and come back. We originally had ordered the Saturday special which is buy one whole chicken , get a 1/2 free and a whole rack of ribs. Keep in mind , all meals come with 2 sides. We ordered double charro beans for both orders. When we got back the owner was packing our bags and mentioned there was some extras in there. When my husband headed out to the car with the bags I was trying to figure out what in the world was going on 😂 We got home and unpacked our bags to find 2 whole chickens , our ribs , a large container beans and another of rice , potato salad , coleslaw, and 2 slices of cake. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!! Beans were the best I’ve ever had. We had enough food to eat for two days and that is after sharing with a neighbor. Their prices are amazing and they have different meal choices that the other place doesnt. You can create combo plates and that is a great idea. They also have brisket , burritos, turkey legs, nachos ,salads and other items. GREAT variety. Between the food , prices and the warm welcome we got when we walked in we will DEFINITELY be back!
Keep doing what you...
Read moreFirst off, I have to say the chicken fajitas are absolutely delicious, and the green salsa really elevates the flavor even more. However, we’ve had two less-than-positive experiences that make it hard to fully enjoy our meals.
On one occasion, we placed an order for two one-pound fajita plates, but we were only given two small servings of salsa. When we politely asked for more, we were told they weren’t allowed to give any additional salsa, which was frustrating, especially since fajitas and salsa go hand-in-hand.
Despite that, we decided to give the restaurant another chance because the fajitas are undeniably good. This time, my husband went to pick up the same two one-pound fajita orders. He asked the employee if everything was in the bag, and she assured him it was. However, when he got home, we found out that they only gave us one side of rice, one side of beans, and no tortillas. We had to ask for salsa separately again, which luckily another employee was kind enough to provide.
It’s disappointing that the food is so tasty, but we’ve consistently had issues with getting our full order. We really hope this is something the restaurant can improve because the quality of the food is there, but the service needs...
Read moreUpdated review: ordered through doordash for pick up. Went and picked up my order there was multiple bags on the counter but the lady said only these bags were mine. The lady said it was everything. Got home was missing part of my order. Called them and they argued with me and said I'd have to pay for the extra order because they knew they had put it in there. I was also missing condiments and a piece of cake so, no i was not going to pay for that.
Got there and the lady was extremely rude about it. Yelling at me to the point we had to get the manager. My " fresh order" was on the counter all cold where it was my original order. The manager told her to get my condiments and let us be.
I have no desire to ever return after that encounter. This is a family owned and operated chain that we had gone too since we were little and it's very disappointing to be treated this way. So good luck ordering from here.
