True Texas BBQ — Restaurant in Odessa

True to its name, this barbecue joint does not disappoint. Outstanding Texas style BBQ.

I opted for the three meat plate and each meat turkey, ribs, and brisket were smoked to precise perfection.

I almost hate to admit it though, the Texas beans with green Chili's in them was undoubtedly the absolute best flavor on the plate. If I were to go back, I might order a large bowl of this and skip the meat all together. You've got to try it.

Often times I don't like to slather meet with sauce because I want to taste the meat. However they had two options of dipping sauce. They had a Texas style barbecue and a Kansas style barbecue.

True to texas, the Texas style was in my opinion bigger bolder and better. The Kansas seemed a little bit more vinegary to my taste.

Even though this restaurant is located in a grocery store, the quality is the same as you would get from a sit-down standalone restaurant.

Placed a DoorDash pickup order at about 6pm, it was promptly canceled but not before my card was charged for over $100, which was what I had spent at this restaurant. And it will be several days before that hold on my bank act will be lifted. Called the restaurant and was told they were out of one of the meats I had ordered, asked if that was all they were out of and was told they were running low on lots of the other items I had ordered and they were trying to make sure there dine in customers were taken care of?? So I guess because I called for a pick up order I wasn’t a customer?? I came to order to go and right off the bat the cashier had a rude demeanor, she had a little attitude when talking to me. When I got my food I checked my plates and it was missing onions pickles and bread. I stood there for a good minute and the ladies working were ignoring me because I know they saw me. The lady who finally attended me was the cashier and she just gave me bread and then she said “the pickles and onions are under the meat” .. well she lied because I came home and there was NO pickles or onions under the meat. Truly am unsatisfied with the service.
