Big Apple Cafe — Restaurant in Ohio

We ate here for our first time on 6-30-23 at about 930am in the area frequently and had a half hour to kill. I'd been craving a small town, cafe, feeling, and ironically found it in the "Big Apple Cafe," tiny and limited seating, but cozy and welcoming.

Prices were incredibly cheap, food and service both incredibly quick. We were seated, ordered, and ate within thirty minutes. The staff was very friendly, and one thing I'd noticed was how incredibly hard they were all working. Literally, non-stop, miminal chatter. We were absolutely impressed at how a table was clear and reset within minutes. These employees work, and it shows.

Food came out to perfection. Some of the best French toast I've had.

Nice little local diner. Far better in my opinion than the roadside Denny's and Bob Evans types of eateries. One of the good things is that the food came out hot. Many times I have had eggs come out just warm. Not here. The eggs with scrambled properly and we're steaming when they came to my seat at the counter. The woman behind the counter whose name I did not get was outgoing and friendly with a good sense of humor. If you happen to be in the area I think this place is worth stopping in for. Had high expectations for this place based on the reviews but was underwhelmed. The service is really good and the food comes out really fast. It is clean but the floors to the restrooms are sticky. There are some good things about it but the key downside is portion sizes. My egg white omelette was probably the smallest I’ve ever had at a breakfast place. The veggies were plentiful but very little egg white. My hash browns were good and whole grain toast was nice as well. My wife’s burrito was tiny as well and her home fries were burnt.
