Well I walked into the store for a door dash it said pick up time 1:25pm. It was 1:22 pm I walked in didn’t see anyone went down an aisle seen a lady standing in front of steam table pans. She immediately said are you here for door dash? In a very mean tone. I said yes. She said it won’t be ready until 1:49. I showed her my phone & it said 1:25 pm. I said I’ll just wait here. She said get out of my store. I don’t want you in here. I told her I can’t help but think you’re racist. Maybe she is having money troubles or something. After I told her I thought she was racist she really lost it. I’m tired of coming to this side of town & being treated so rudely. I did want to look around at her store. But she didn’t want me looking in her store& I’m not sure why. She told me I couldn’t be around her food in her store. Im very accepting of other cultures I’m gluten free & very interested in trying new flours in bakery items. I did want to look at the bags of different types of flours. I can’t eat wheat. I’m also interested in finding different items I can grind into my own flours. Obviously she did not want to make sales. She wanted to be rude & argue with a cold heart. I have been in the food business all my life. If this woman in this store wanted her store to be successful she could have talked to me in another manner because she was rude & out of control. I’m wondering why the store is there if they don’t want people to shop there. Couldn’t help but think she didn’t like my red skin. She immediately kicked me out of a store that people are supposed to be able to shop in because she didn’t want me around her food. You do the math. I like goat meat & spinach have slaughtered & cooked many goats myself. Haven’t done it in awhile. I would totally buy some goat stew from here if I felt welcomed but I do not trust these unwelcoming people with anyone’s food. In my best Stephanie voice HOW RUDE. I’m going to start making compliants to the right authorities with businesses that treat me this way. Not only for the way they’re treating me but also the way they are handling my customers foods. I worked in a grocery store for 10 years & I would have never treated anyone at all who walked in this way at all. Terrible service evil hateful woman I...
Read moreWhen I walked in to pick up an order I placed, I seen the woman who owns and operates this place (on her own), seasoning the fish, preparing to fry it fresh, and I KNEW, this was gonna be something worth talking about. I ordered a variety of dishes, and I know each and every one was prepared by someone who ENJOYS what she does. The beef and spinach stew with fufu was hearty and flavorful. The oxtail will clear your sinuses (and my kids have been fighting of a bug so this came in handy) Its so good I was wiping my nose with every bite.. AMAZING! The jollof rice with fish was seasoned to perfection and fried just right. The fried plantains were the perfect amount of sweet with just the right amount of spice drizzled on top- also fried fresh (like they were still piping hot after the drive home). The meat pies had the best flavored dough I have tasted in my life- we ordered the beef but they only had chicken available, and I am not even mad at that! They were DELICIOUS!! I didn’t get her name, but I would be willing to be blindfolded and fed any plate that this goddess on earth has prepared,...
Read moreFood: I've had the Egusi, Beef&Spinach stew, Ogbono, Okra, and Oha to name a few. All with good size FuFu or Gari. The soups are always delicious, and the spice level is good for anyone! Never too spicy. I order from here all the time to save myself from cooking for myself or family/friends. The prices are also good for the availability of good West and East African cuisine in the area. Only a few good spots!
Service: She is so nice and welcoming! More than a few time I've been given free drink or snack with my order. LOVELY woman. She deserves more Patrons.
Atmosphere: A place perfect for picking up/to go orders! It is a grocery store, clothes store, and restaurant. I give only 4 stars because there is no table outside with chair to sit with the food if one would like or sink to wash wash hands in if one were to sit and eat. I would rarely sit because I'm so busy, so it's not a big deal. Just ideas for if this place decides to expand or move somewhere like downtown someday! A cleaning area with a mix of washable and disposable...
