This place is one of the best in Dayton. Compassion is the number one principle you notice!!! People are WELCOME to use their lovely restroom!! You've never seen a more beautiful bathroom.
I really hesitate to say how good this place is for fear it will get too busy. Check it out for yourself. On different days, there are different activities. If you know you need social interaction, this is the place to go!!
On certain days, about 50 dogs, cats and rabbits get dropped off to be spaded and have their teeth cleaned!! A mobile vet parks outside.
There is wonderful library!! There is a television, but most people don't watch it. People have gatherings there. People can charge their phones, which is desperately needed for the unhoused people nearby!!
Not to mention, the food pantry!! Over 200 families are served on Sundays. Dogs and cats aren't left out!!! There is a donation box. They keep that box stocked.
Their neighbors at the liquidation store are Angels!!!! That couple treated me with such respect and compassion it helped me hang on!! I was given food and water!!! Thank GOD, I am now in a good place. I will never forget their kindnesses!! When someone is down, they need compassion, food, water and respect.
People are also allowed to take their dogs with them, which is so important when you are unhoused and have no place safe...
