Cracked Egg Cafe — Restaurant in Ohio

EDIT: My husband and I decided to give this place another chance after seeing there was a new owner. Boy, am I glad we did!!! Our breakfast experience was very favorable! We were cheerfully greeted and had a great breakfast. Both our meals were hot, fresh and of ample proportions! We will absolutely be back again for breakfast and are up for trying lunch and/or dinner. Thank you to your great staff for changing our opinion of your place !! For those of you that didn’t care for the old establishment you really must give them another try!! We’ll be back!

My husband and I tried this place 2 weeks after they opened and had an awful experience. Decided to wait a while and give them another try. Same experience...awful. Will NOT give them a third chance. There was only one other table with customers when we went in. There were no employees to be found so we seated ourselves. No sign at the door that said they would seat us. The hostess chastised us for sitting, they would have done it, but we had already stood waiting for 5 minutes. I ordered an omelet w cheese and mushrooms. Server came back, out of mushrooms, so I ordered eggs over med. We waited 50--I kid you not-- 50 minutes for eggs and French toast!!! Never once did the server come over and refill our coffee while we were waiting for our breakfast. Food finally came out and my eggs were fried crispy and over hard!! My husbands French toast had no butter. I asked for the check when she brought our food for fear we would never see her again. It took an additional 20 minutes to get our bill and have her process it. I'm not sure how service can be so extremely opposite for the other patrons giving a 5 star review unless they know the owners or don't mind spending 1 1/2 hours eating a...

My 1 year old and I eat out quite often at least 4-6 times a week and I’m always up for finding locally small businesses to try, but this has possibly been one of the top 5 worst experiences. The service was terrible. The cook in the back had to tell us that we can seat at a table after waiting for 10-20 min just to get seated and it wasn’t even busy or a lot of people in there. I waited another 10-15 min for the server to come and ask if we wanted anything to drink. Then waited about 15 min for our food ( which can be pretty standard time for a lot but we just ordered breakfast ) our breakfast came up to $45 and change. I took a few bites of my food and it was not good at all. However my daughter is 16 months and very greedy she barely ate her food. I even allowed her plate to be in front of her and she never touched it which is unusual because she touches everything. So the fact that she didn’t touch her food told me that she also was not pleased with it. So I asked for the check and left all the food on the plates, I was asked if I wanted to go boxes but I declined and still paid the $45 because I didn’t want this establishment to think that I was trying to skip out on a bill. I always tip even if the service is bad, I tip to show a reflection of the service. In this case my tip to the server is, find a new profession because waiting on customers is not for you at all. Let me just say I have mixed feelings about this place... The atmosphere is awesome!! It's super fun and cool inside! I love the natural wood bar and the the atmosphere. it just feels like a fun place and the waitress was super nice. The menu is put together well. I loved everything about it, until the food came and it was Very disappointing. We got there around 11 and they weren't busy. there was 5 of us. my son is 3 and he ordered the kids pancake and sausage. 1st they brought him bacon. which is fine no big deal we asked for sausage they brought it out it was raw!! I'm talking raw (purple in the middle)!!!! Then my sister ordered the hash special Her eggs were overcooked and the hash Browns were not Krispy at all I mean it's called "the cracked egg" but I didn't figure that would mean that over medium eggs would actually be cracked?? I got the oh yeah!! The sausage gravy was like it came out of a can. The cheese on top was not melted at all when they brought it to me. the biscuits are so dry that you need like Twice the gravy they give you just to be able to eat them. the scrambled eggs were OK but the hash Browns are mushy? The place was clean and overall a great idea but their food was totally not worth the money and it's a little more on the expensive side.
