My older brother gave me a PS2 stored in a basement for almost 10 years. I got robbed, so he gave me the system we grew up with. Survived a year… then click, wouldn’t turn on.
He stopped working on these, and told me that it’s no guarantee. There’s nobody else that I knew of who’d be willing to service an antique, not even big time retro services.
But he did. Even helped when I called back because I had a second cable and it didn’t work! Swapped, second layer it’s in.
