This was our worst iron skillet experience ever! First off the soda was almost nothing but carbonated water. When we brought it to our waitresses attention she replied that they already knew and she would fix it and bring a new one. Her name was Mary just so you know. If they knew it was like this it should have been fixed and not continued serving it to people. Next we ordered and my husbands food came out very good. He had the chicken strip dinner. My food was the meat lovers omelet with no gravy and home fries. When it came out the first thing she said was that the toast would be out in a few minutes. Then I told her I had ordered home fries not hashbrowns and she said that's fine I will have the cook make them right now. Next thing I know she is walking to my table in front of everyone with an empty plate and tells me to scrape the hashbrowns onto it since I don't order them. Wow............really how embarrassing to do that like I ordered them and then didnt pay for them or something, but I did it. I have never been asked to do that when my order was wrong but it is what it is. Next they brought me home fries that were definitely microwaved and soggy. I was also told there were no onions in them and guess what there was.........onions! Oh yeah and she brought the toast out not even toasted just barely warm bread, Worst experience here ever. Usually the staff is loud and obnoxious at this location often screaming to one another across the room and talking amongst each other loudly. But the food is usually still good. The buffet although we didnt get it this time was all dried up and gross looking. I usually do get it but it was in such bad condition that I chose to pass on it. You can look through my other reviews of many places and see I do not leave a bad review if it was not bad service. I am not sure we will ever return to this location and would not recommend...
Read moreI went twice this weekend. I never want to go back again! The fish I ordered the first time tasted only of salt. Rather impressive really, considering it was deep fried. The second time I had a steak. It was cooked and tender. Unfortunately it was just bland. The cut of meat was not that great either. Totally not worth the $15 I spent on the meal. The salad bar was okay. However it looked like nobody had refreshed the food in some time. There were empty containers with little bits left in them. No clear labeling on what salad dressing was which. Bits of various salad fixings all over the bar.
With the bad came the good. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. They both were the bright spot in an otherwise drab experience.
To close, if this restaurant could learn how to use seasonings, it would have been a much nicer experience. Also, in fairness, I realize it's a busy place. Please, be more vigilant in the upkeep of you're food bars. It's not only more pleasant to eat food that looks clean and cared for. It's also healthier. Dirty food bars can be breeding...
Read moreWow I get to write something good about a truckstop restaurant. But first let me tell the bad: I walked in looking for a place to sit... Every booth I walked by was dirty and needing cleaned "oh well" I walk to the very back to sit down.. The waitress says hello but I was never waited on.. sat for maybe 10 mins and she never came by..... so I go sit up front at the bar/island area.. This is where the good comes in... I was greeted nicely by a young gal right away. What really surprised me was the fact that she spoke to me politely and with proper grammar. . I wasn't yelled at from across the restaurant or I wasn't pointed at from a far. The gal Whitney was the best waitress I have had on this whole month and a half trip I was on... maybe all year... shoot maybe ever. But this is how a person visiting your establishments should be treated. I'm not sure if it's just the way society is going but wow is it incredibly horrible service I get from most of your restaurants. This time it was a pleasant...
