Motel 6 Richmond, IN — Hotel in Richmond

Janice Mccullough Part 1 of two.They don’t deserve no star ⭐️ I may reservation a few week ago at the motel 6 in Richmond In for two room for June 28 and June 29. We have two more hours to go from Detroit to Richmond. We had stop for food 🥘 when I got a call for the clerk at the motel 🏨 6. Saying they was trying to chart my card.and I told her that I was paying with cash that they told me that I can pay the way I want because they don’t charge my card unless I don’t show them they will charge my card and I say the lady told me when I made my reservation that they don’t charge you until you arrived she put me down as a late arrival and tell me that as long as I make it before 3 am that I find . I call twice to make sure I understood her. And she stay that she put a note to let them know. I told the Clark on the phone and she stated that she see it and told me to have a safe trip that see see me when I arrive. 10 min away from the motel 🏨 6Part 2of2 . They deserve no star ⭐️ I get another call for that same clerk telling me if I don’t pay right now that she was going to cancel my reservation. I said I’m 10 min away . I said I told you I have cash.and the phone hanged up. We get there to the motel 🏨 6 20 min later all the way from Detroit Michigan . This low damn clerk had gave our two room away that way she call demanding money . Telling about her manager told her to cancel our room. Thank god that we had family to take us in. All the other motel was book. They knew we was black and gave our room away to the first two white peoples walking in there looking for a room. They know we was 10 min away all the way from Detroit Michigan. I make my reservation two weeks ahead. And they knew I was on the road they. Those low damn people gave my room away and they knew it was two kids with us.. if you coming form out of town you better rethink this motel 🏨 6 in Richmond In Especially if you black and sound black on the phone. Check there records and I bet it going to show just what color of people that they gave my two room way to. We make it at 11 30 pm that day. They gave my room away knowing I was...

Everything was great with the exception of a few things that, in my opinion, are a necessity in every room! A microwave in the room instead of just two in the hallway upstairs. I did have to use it to heat up food and I wasn't very happy I had to walk out of my room to do that. Another thing is there was no dresser in the room I stayed. I usually like to unpack my clothes in the dresser at other hotels I stayed and I didn't like the fact that I had to use shelves instead of drawers. There was a huge space in the room next to the bed that wasn't occupied and I thought to myself... a dresser would fit nicely here. A coffee maker in the room would make a lot of people happy. I like drinking coffee when I get up and the idea of having to go downstairs to get some wasn't appealing to me at all and even when I did try to find where the coffee was downstairs, I couldn't see it anywhere so I just decided to get coffee somewhere else. Also, I read some other reviews and some people have complained that there are no hair dryers in the room. As a male, I could care less about this but if I were a female, I would certainly like to have one of these handy in every room at any hotel I stayed. But other than that, I like staying at your motel. Rooms were clean, very spacious, your staff was very welcoming and friendly and if I knew that you are willing to make the changes mentioned above, I would probably stay with you again. Your price range is about the same as other motels in the area and if they offer the amenities you don't, then I will choose them over you just because of the convenience they provide in the room I stay. In my opinion, I think if you are willing to spend some money and add these features in every room, people will be more drawn to choose you as their motel of choice. A lot of people make this choice by reading the internet reviews...my wife is one of them and she clearly stated that if she would have read your reviews before hand, she would have not stayed with you because of the lack of amenities in the...

We stopped by early to see if we could get an early check-in since we arrived earlier then expected from Florida, we were told "no, check in was @ 3pm" but took my # and would call if something opened. Mind you there were like 3 cars in the parking lot and no bustling about like most hotels, which to me was a sure sign they had rooms available but they just wasn't going to let us check in early which was about 10am.(they called @ 1pm. When we did check in they tried to charge me more money saying my reservation must not have included taxes until I showed them it did. They still charged me about $2 more. Also @ time of check in they made me get the other people ID's, I asked why? Since I was the one that made the reservation and was paying for the room they said "we like to know who is staying here just in case something happens" I was like no where else I have ever stayed has did that, then there was some creepy guy lingering around in the front entrance watching us.(later found out he was the maintenance guy). We had to ask for everything we needed, towels, toilet tissue, It was 30 degrees out and they didn't have blankets on the bed or in the room, we had to ask for them, no alarm clocks, no tissues for nose, no hair dryers (they had 4 of them but they couldn't find them.) I had to end up buying one myself. They supplied one little bar of soap, no shampoo, lotion. After being gone all the next day we get back to the room and they didn't clean or do anything in the room, once again we had to ask for everything, new towels, trash removed and @ 3am had to go down to get toilet tissue. I understand them wanting to keep their cost down but this was ridiculous.Worst Motel 6 I have ever stayed at, other than the rooms being clean I would never stay at that one again nor would I recommend it to anyone. We did stay @ a nice one in Cleveland, Tn. on our way home so it's not Motel 6 that has a problem it this particular one in Richmond, In. So, my rating is for them...
