Stopping in Uranus (yes, that Uranus) was hands-down one of the best decisions of my road trip through Indiana. Located right off National Road in Richmond, this fudge factory isnât just a candy shopâitâs an experience.
From the second you walk in, the atmosphere hits you: bold, funny, and completely unapologetic. The staff fully lean into the theme with clever humor and top-notch customer service. Itâs hard not to smile when someone proudly tells you, âThe best fudge comes from Uranusââand theyâre not wrong. The fudge is freshly made, hand-cut, and absolutely rich in flavor. Every bite is proof that they take their sweets seriously, even if the branding is hilariously cheeky.
Theyâve got souvenirs, gag gifts, and a sense of humor thatâs PG enough for the kids but sharp enough to keep the adults entertained. Whether youâre looking to satisfy your sweet tooth or just break up the drive with a good laugh, Uranus Fudge Factory in Richmond is a must-stop.
Bottom line: Come for the fudge, stay for the fun....
Read moreAs an Explorer of the Galaxy, I found this planet "Uranus" to have many, many great things to offer a traveler such as myself. Many items to bring back to my home world and to share with my fellow people. Unfortunately, I was not able to make contact with the leader of this planet "Uranus" during my brief visit. I was hoping to bring back with me some of the larger things they had visiters enjoyment, such as the posters and the flying dinosaur from the past. Everything would have fit perfectly in our space carft and would have been treated with the utmost respect. I hope to return to this planet "Uranus" in the future, hopefully to also meet with the leader of this planet "Uranus". I feel my people and his people have many things to learn from one another and could foster a great future together within this galaxy. As for you regular travelers, there is so much to see and try and the fudge is amazing, best...
Read moreThe GM decided it would be okay to abruptly fire my partner working here because he was "too intimidating" according to fellow employees, without having anything to back this up other than their word. He's a sweet man, and doesn't even have an imposing presence. He was the trainer, the person that's supposed to point out when someone is doing something wrong, and guide them in the right path. He did so as kindly as he possibly could, but I guess people don't like being corrected anymore, and doing your job well is a crime punishable by immediate termination. What an absolute joke. It's a good thing this place is supposed to be funny, because this proves that it's a complete clown show.
Edit: It came to our attention that, on the same day, the only other employee that was also days away from getting benefits, had also been fired. So, the company clearly does not care for its people, and would rather save a...
