Subject: Disappointing Experience at Pizza Cottage Mount Vernon
Dear Management Team, I am writing to share my recent experience at the newly opened Pizza Cottage in Mount Vernon, Ohio. Unfortunately, I must express my disappointment with the service and quality of our order.
Tonight, we placed a pickup delivery order, and regrettably, it fell short of our expectations in several ways. Firstly, a significant portion of our order was missing upon receipt. Specifically, we had ordered a pizza sub that was not included in the bag. Moreover, despite our explicit request for one of the Italian subs to be without banana peppers, both subs were prepared without banana peppers. Additionally, although we requested dressing on the side for both subs, only one packet was provided for two subs.
Furthermore, both subs lacked sufficient meat, with only half the amount expected. This resulted in us having to redistribute the meat from one side of the subs to the other, rendering half of each sub unusable.
It deeply saddens me to report such a negative experience, especially considering the anticipation surrounding the opening of your establishment in our small town. I regret to inform you that based on our experience, we will not be returning to Pizza Cottage.
I feel compelled to mention that our neighbors, who visited your establishment for the first time on the same night, also encountered issues with missing items in their orders. Two disappointed first-time customers in one evening does not bode well for the longevity of a business in our community.
I trust that you will take this feedback seriously and use it constructively to improve the quality of service and customer satisfaction at Pizza Cottage Mount...

Tried it again, hoping they had improved. Nope. Food is still garbage and they still haven't fixed the issue with their Loaded Fries. Go to the Buckeye Lake location for the authentic experience if you're craving Pizza Cottage.
Old Review, 2 months ago:
This particular establishment of the franchise is garbage. I understand the supply chain disruption leads to some restaurants lacking ingredients, but when I call in and tell them that it leads to a product being unacceptable, I don't expect to be blatantly lied to about a product at a franchise I've been eating at for close to 20 years.
"You must have an old menu", "They've never been made that way and I've worked here 5 years". It's literally on the online site, lady. The way you screamed at us was completely unacceptable.
Don't eat here, they just throw your food together, our fries were dry with no white Cheddar sauce, they just put a little bit of shredded cheese and way too much bacon bits. Our pizza was still doughy in the middle like it hadn't been cooked long enough. It was nasty. I paid 70 dollars on food that was garbage and they didn't want to refund me or replace my food. I hope this location goes out of business. You don't do this to...
Read moreFirst let me just say that I've been HUGE fan of Pizza Cottage for the last 17yrs, especially the Buckeye Lake location. However, I'm not sure what has happened over the last 6 months at the Newark location but their subs have really gone down hill.
Since this location is close to my work every once in a while I'll order either their Chef Salad (very good) or their PLT sub (use to be my all time favorite). That being said the last 3 times I've ordered a PLT sub there has hardly been any peperoni on the sub, today the sub was absolutely pitiful! There was basically no pepperoni, very little lettuce a couple tomato's and a s-ton of mayo. They USE to pile the pepperoni on the sub, I mean that is the main ingredient in the sub. On one half of my sub today there was one single layer of pepperoni covering 1/2 of the half. The other half was equally as pitiful. I'd like to be able to say this was a one time thing, but this is...
