First, I am not one to leave negative reviews. Since I discovered Firehouse Subs I have always enjoyed their product and put it close to the top of my list when it came to sub shops. Going back to school, it makes the Newark location quite convenient. This year, I have gone to this location 4 times and twice paid for my food and had to leave before it was even done (both times allowing for 30 minutes). On this trip I was nearing the time I had to leave to make it to class on time and I asked the young man making the sandwiches if he could put half of it in a box he said "I'm not making that" and did nothing while at least 4 other employees looked at me and said nothing. I understand that door-dash has placed a burden on this location, but After spending over $160 here since the beginning of this year, I only had 1 positive experience with my own food. To me it feels like I paid $160 for an Italian sub. If it weren't for the other people I fed getting to enjoy their food on both occasions when I had to leave and the one I left with the wrong sandwich, I would have contacted my credit card company and reversed the charges. Read moreI placed an order at 6:02, with scheduled pick up at 6:45. I've ordered at the N 21st restaurant multiple times. We have a large family (9) and spend about $100 every time we order. This is the first time we've had an issue with our order. This time I only ordered 3 subs and used points to cover one of the subs. When I get there they don't have my order. I show them it has already been taken out of my bank app, I showed them my email receipt, and I showed them the order under "recents" ON THEIR WEBSITE!!! The employee called the manager and they REFUSED to make my order. They couldn't tell me how to get a refund, or a number to call or anything just sorry about your luck. Read moreOnly getting a 3 cause it depends on who's in there. Most the kids have very poor people skills or something cause they are far from greeting here. As well as don't listen or read back theborder to make sure they did it right. 2 times I've gotten home food was some how wrong. The first time they just gave us the wrong food understandable when busy like that for mistakes so we ate it and let it go. This last time the staff working was rude and lazy clearly didn't like each other so the Manger should see this and not schedule them same shifts or something. Cause fire house is a top for us at other locations the food is normally amazing food at a good price for what you want from a sandwich size to a sexual joke size (you know what I'm saying people) lol.
