Decided to go here last night because we didn’t want to wait in line. There are reasons they didn’t have a line. We could have been in and out of another restaurant with a long wait before we got out of Bob Evans, where there was no wait. The server, Kaya (I think) wasn’t overly friendly. It took a while to even get our drinks, then she was going to “give us some time” to decide what we wanted to order. We assured her that we were ready to order by then. We all got rolls, and they were a little over done on the top, and they were brought out long before our meals. When our food finally came, it was luke warm at best. Two people in our party of 5 were satisfied-ish with their meals, although theirs was luke warm as well. The chicken & noodles and chili had been sitting for a while. Before we left, I asked our server if they were low on help and she seemed confused. I said that we assumed they needed more help because everything took so long, and she still seemed confused. Last time for us at the North 21st Street Bob Evans. I grew up near the original Bob Evans, and it’s gone downhill since he passed. As we were leaving last night, I said to my husband, “Do you hear that? That’s Bob Evans rolling in his grave.” ...
Read moreNeither location (21st OR 79) employ cooks who know how to read a meal ticket, and/or servers who know how to LISTEN TO THE CUSTOMER ORDERING (via phone or even an online order)....I have YET to receive the (SAME, EVERY TIME) DINNER ORDER placed AS I PLACE IT. THE ONLY SPECIFIC DETAIL THAT ALWAYS GETS OVER LOOKED? I want BOTH GRAVIES (COUNTRY/ WHITE and BEEF/BROWN). ON. THE. SIDE. And I REPEAT THIS, clarifying yes, both, specifically calling them what the menu has them listed as ("COUNTRY GRAVY, BROWN GRAVY") and identifying them separately by their color. THE RESULT VARIES LIKE THE FOLLOWING: I either get two of the same, NONE AT ALL, OR AS THE MEAL IS PICTURED ON THE MENU with the country gravy ON THE MEAT and then the same gravy ALSO ON THE SIDE or the other on the side...are they building rockets at Bobs and this comprehension is below the standard IQ? It baffles me, every time.
And they get paid HOW MUCH...

I mentioned I would like a waitress because of the past. Tabatha was fantastic! Thank you. Food: meat and potatoes were warm, eggs very cold??? Must because they're more expensive now??? Toast only buttered one slice and cold. (I know, the 'shame in me' saying). This used to be my favorite. Not no more 😕... A year later, OH MY! Seated right away. Waited 20 minutes for a waiter who apologized only one in restaurant. Scheduling error. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! May NOT return. Update after 6 years of avoidance. Food quality is great. Service was good & attentive. TY Marie. Unfortunately there is no counter seating. Even still, the atmosphere has a "truck stop" feel. The food may bring me back more often. (Seater confused when asked for counter seating, then stopped to...
