Strip plaza cafe type structure. Narrow dining area, although not uncomfortably so, with booths and tables. Two large, very nice relief decorations. No window(s) to look out. Besides myself, there was one couple, and a group of 6, so not at all crowded or busy. Ordered âSeafood Delightâ, fried rice, and diet cola (coke). Large cold tumbler (plastic 16oz). Seafood Delight - The menu description is large shrimp, scallops, and crabmeat with vegetables⌠So I was expecting crabmeat. It was krabmeat, and it had to be the cheapest anyone can buy. You could taste the fish, even with the vegetables and gravy. I removed the krabmeat. Except for that, the dish was good. I'd even recommend it, except for the krabmeat. The waitress asked if everything was alright. I pointed out the âdiscrepancyâ. She offered to have the cook prepare an additional item, but I wasn't taking any chances after criticising the initial dish. The fried rice was simply pork fried rice. Not bad, but nothing special. Getting fried rice instead of steamed did cost an additional dollar. The only time I was offered a drink refill was when the waitress had a reason to come to the table, so the tumbler sat empty on the corner of the table for extended periods. Total bill $15.66.    Read moreThis place is a breath of fresh air. I have lived in a dozen cities and eaten at double that in quick Chinese restaurants and, I honestly donât know what this place is doing differently, but the food is infinitely better than any other quick Chinese dine in/carry out restaurant Iâve been to in years.
Sometimes it feels like Chinese restaurants all get their food from the same supplier. Same mediocre chicken, dumplings and noodles everywhere that just taste cheap. This place is different. Their dumplings taste home made. Their noodles are thin and taste ârealâ if that makes sense. The vegetables taste like vegetables and not wok fried âmatterâ. I havenât tried everything yet, but I havenât had a single bad meal here.
The staff is kind, always smiling and genuinely make you feel like theyâre happy youâre giving them your custom. Prices are MENTAL reasonable for how good the food is. Like I said, a breath of fresh air in the Chinese food industry.
If I ever move out of Madison Iâll be upset to...
Read moreWe've been frequenting this restaurant for YEARS. Today, I placed an order online and said I'd pay with cash since they've added credit card fees. My order total said $31.99. I sent my husband with $32 to go pick up our food. When he received the food, they said it was an extra $2 because we said to include the vegetables that they always short us on. So my husband drove all the way home to get the $2 while I called the store to see what they were talking about. The lady that answered said that they started charging for ANYTHING that you ask for in the comment section. That would have been nice to know online when I freaking ordered. I get that prices are on the rise with inflation, but they've already raised their prices from their regular menu THAT THEY INCLUDE with every order. That's false advertising. Now they have the audacity to charge me more for reminding them to include what should already be in the damn dish? They can...
