I was reluctant about going because of the Cajun twist, how ever it turned out to be amazing. The frog legs were small but full flavor, we tried it plain. The smoked wings in buffalo flavor were amazing. I would order those as meal they were packed full of flavor. The smash burger was two patties with lettuce, tomato, crispy onions, added bacon and cheddar cheese with a pickle on top. The shrimp and grits with peppers and onions some of the best I have ever tasted. I was looking forward to the catfish but they ran out, so pulled pork po boy with coleslaw on a bun was so tasty. Enjoyed the old fashion, and the getaway driver. The elderflower seltzer is mild and refreshing. And the jet lag relief pale ale is a popular choice making you want to take some home. Side hustle is located in a time capsule with so much history and Jeff was enthusiastic about sharing the history.

It’s such a great thing to see this building bringing something new to Oil City, after decades of sitting unused. You can tell the building was lovingly renovated, honoring the history of the original 1920s bank. The restaurant has an upscale, yet comfortable vibe, and the food and drinks are great! Service was very friendly. It’s wonderful to see something like this come to OC. I’ll be back again!

Very cool old bank building, so the setting is historical with an excellent restored mural on the ceiling and they made the old bank vault a tasting room. Excellent food and delicious craft cocktails made with their own distilled liquor in house. Great atmosphere. Will come again whenever I am in town.

Absolutely not. This place left every box unchecked. 3 top on a Saturday afternoon, two other tables in the restaurant which made me think that everything would be top notch. Started out with menu sticker shock, but I like good food so I was game. No iced tea on the menu, out of menu items I wanted, okay not great but I’ll let that go too. Ordered two apps, three side salads, and two sandwiches. The hummus was completely flavorless, the hush puppies were average, the $29 burger was ordered medium well and came out raw. The muffaletta came out cold (which is sometimes standard, but each place is different), but I asked for it to be heated up. We waited a solid 20 mins for the burger to be recooked, it came out with cold fries and was not worthy of the price tag. It was completely smothered in a very vinegar-heavy mustard that overpowered any other attempt at flavors. Then, our third sat without food for another 20 min for the muffuletta which had been thrown in the oven and served still cold with bread so hard it was completely inedible. The person that dropped the food even commented that it was put in the oven, but anyone who works in a kitchen should know if you bake an already cooked piece of bread for a long time it will come out like a brick. Alas, that knowledge was not with us that day. The lack of compassion or damage control from anyone on staff was glaringly obvious. There were “Service Industry 101” accommodations that should have been noticed, but unfortunately even the managers were completely oblivious to the needs of their customers, either that or they just didn’t care. Given that there were more employees working than customers seated, I’m guessing the latter. We paid the outrageous check (full price might I add), and ran for the hills. I know it’s new and exciting to have something like this in Oil City, but don’t let the novelty and decor fool you into overlooking the fact that service and quality are important and deserving of anyone’s hard earned money. And hey, if general observations are too much to ask for maybe a little compassion and concern would be nice. But what would I know, I’m just a paying customer that walked in your door. Silly me. I’d give it negative...

Stopped in while at camp for archery season with my cousin from VA. From what I’ve read online it was a must try. Let me tell you… this place blew me away. The food is absolutely top-notch. I will be back to try everything on the menu. Next time, it’s the Muffaletta and beignets. We even got to meet Jeff, the owner, and you can tell he genuinely cares about what he’s building here, and the people he serves. The drink options are also top-notch, beer selection and mixed drinks from a 5 star brew/restaurant.

The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and comfortable. Just stunning in the old bank with the vault and all. It’s one of those places you walk into and instantly feel good. Service was excellent too… friendly, attentive, and on point without being overbearing.

If you’re anywhere near Oil City or plan a road trip, this is a must-visit. We’ll...
