Stumbling upon Barry's Grill is like finding a secret treasure map that leads you to a chest filled not with gold, but with an even rarer find—affordable gastronomic joy. It's the kind of place where a bacon cheeseburger is treated with the reverence it deserves, with bacon sizzled to fresh, crispy perfection at each order. My own burger was a masterclass in flavor, with lettuce so crisp and green, it was as if it had just waltzed out of the garden onto my plate, avoiding the chop along the way.
The magic didn't stop there. The seasoning—just a whisper of spice—danced on our taste buds without setting off any alarms, much to my mother's delight. Our server, the high priestess of the grill, was ever-present, ensuring our culinary crusade met its high expectations, which it did with sumptuous flair.
And then, the pièce de résistance—those fries. Thick, hearty, steak-cut fries that could make the most ardent thin fry aficionado waver in their loyalty. All this culinary excellence came at a cost that would make your local fast-food joint blush with envy. Barry's Grill proves that fine dining doesn't have to clear your coffers; it delivers a superior feast that rivals the cost of a mundane McDonald's run.
Barry's Grill, therefore, isn't just a dining option; it's a budget-friendly bastion of flavor, a place where both gourmands and frugal foodies can come together to celebrate the almighty burger. Superior service, delightful drinks, and prices that make your wallet as happy as your stomach, Barry's is a clarion call to all who seek to elevate their dining experience without deflating their finances. Come for the savings, stay for the sumptuousness, and leave with plans for your...
Read moreI was hoping for a great "homemade" feel & taste from a long-standing "mom & pop" shop. The atmosphere gave the impression that this place could pull that off, with its very dated interior & antiquated vibe. Unfortunately, it completely missed the mark. While the service was great, the food left a lot to be desired.
The jumbo burger combo was less than mid-range (4/10). It looked good, but the flavor was just NOT there. Also, 3 slices of cheese is a bit excessive imo, but to each their own on that note. The veggies for the burger had definitely seen better days as well. The (unsalted) fries & sweet tea were honestly the best parts & even that is being quite generous.
For $13.52 (which included a 4% credit card fee), I could've had a similar tasting burger from any chain. For the amount of time I waited, my expectations were sorely disappointed. Maybe it was an off day. Best of luck to those who choose to patron this establishment. Do not expect...
Read moreOrdered a jumbo burger with mustard and mayo and no bun. It took a lot longer than expected. It came out with no mustard, no mayo, and a bun. Pointed this out to the guy working. He said he'd fix it. Called me back up to the counter and gave me a new one. I pointed out it had no mustard or mayo on it. He told me yes, he put it on there already. I showed him the very dry burger right in front of him, picked up the meat and showed it was dry underneath. He again told me it already has mustard and mayo on it. I told him it didn't and he said "ok, I'll give you extra then" and gave me 2 small packets of mustard. At this point, I needed to eat and get back to work so I just took it. No intentions on going back. Burger tasted ok (but would have been...
