Birreria Diaz is truly your hole in the wall kind of Mexican restaurant boasting with an amazing family atmosphere and a cozy vibe. Our impression upon walking inside, even though it was a small establishment, was that they were very very busy and we were lucky to get a seat! The waitress welcomed us with a smile and told us to seat anywhere we liked! The menu had a little bit of everything for everyone! We had sopa de limón con cordero, quesabirria de carne, y un plato de enchiladas con arroz. The food was delicious and only on the weekends they serve their special meal "Menudo", which I returned on Saturday to give it a try and was not disappointed. Also the chips and salsa also came with queso... I am sire they modified this queso dip because it was excellent and nothing like I've tasted before! Also bought a bag of chicharrones! But this 3rd, AND LAST, time it was bad! The chicken milanesa my husband ordered was spoiled (you could smell it, it reeked). And I ordered a cucumber and lime water which tasted spoiled too. When I asked the waitress to switch it, she smirked and said "Yeah huh, I'll get you the new one"...!! Like, excuse me you purposely gave a customer old agua fresca knowing it was bad and you had a new one! The mojarra was tasteless & all I could taste was oil. We will never...
