Braum's Drive Thru Disappointment
This review is a heads up for anyone craving a Braum's sundae fix. My partner and I visited the drive thru recently, excited to indulge in their classic treats which we normally enjoy. We ordered two Double Fudge Sundaes and a Double Banana Fudge Sundae, with a simple request, marshmallow sauce instead of fudge on the banana sundae. Easy, right? Apparently not.
Unfortunately, what we received was a far cry from our cravings. All three sundaes were made incorrectly – one of the fudge sundaes barely had any fudge on it and the other fudge sundae had maybe one full scoop of ice cream on it. That's not even the worst part. The banana sundae had fudge on it rather than the marshmallow sauce which I had ordered. As you can see in the picture of the banana sundae, it looks like a toddler threw it together without any care in the world. The picture of the receipt clearly shows they entered it in the computer correct while failing to make it that way. Disappointed, we politely brought this to the manager's attention.
What followed was an incredibly frustrating experience. The manager, instead of offering to fix the order or provide a refund as stated on Braum's receipt ("We are proud of the products we offer... if you are not satisfied... we will refund your money or replace it."), simply denied there was any mistake. His dismissive and disrespectful attitude was bordering on argumentative. I asked him if he would please make the sundaes better as they normally are to which he replied, "Pshh no, there's nothing wrong with how they were made." After that I asked him if I could just get my money back to which he replied, "No because there is nothing wrong." It left both me and my partner feeling angry and irritated.
We simply wanted to enjoy some ice cream sundaes, and this Braum's location and crew dropped the ball completely. BRAUM'S, YOUR PRIDE IN YOUR PRODUCTS IS COMMENDABLE, BUT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION SHOULD BE YOUR TOP PRIORITY. ESPECIALLY WHEN A MISTAKE IS SO CLEAR CUT. THE MANAGER'S DISMISSIVE ATTITUDE AND REFUSAL TO FOLLOW YOUR OWN REFUND/REPLACEMENT POLICY LEFT A SOUR TASTE IN OUR MOUTHS, WORSE THAN THE WRONG TOPPINGS EVER COULD. Read moreI want to preface this by saying this was my first time back at Braum’s in about 4 years. I grew up on Braum’s and was excited to be back after being in Texas for so long. This Braum’s trip fell short of every expectation I had. The freezers in the store area had excessive frost that deterred me from purchasing any frozen products. Although I planned to get a shake, I could not see the ice cream due to the fog and ice cream drippings that clouded the glass. When I asked about the contents of an ice cream I hadn’t seen before, the attendant had an attitude while answering the question. I ordered the Double Jalapeño Pepper Jack burger. While I waited for my order, I attempted to find a clean table, the likes of which was not found in the restaurant. Employees stood around as the customers had to clean tables to find a suitable eating environment, and the flies outnumber the workers.My shoes stuck to the floor as I attempted to walk through the establishment. All of this occurred with very little drive thru or in store traffic. When I finally got my burger, it was missing lettuce, pickles and jalapeños, which happen to be a main ingredient of the burger. When I walked up to the counter, I was ignored until the assistant manager forced staff to address me. They proceeded to attempt to charge me for the missing ingredients. I had to speak with the assistant manager to get the needed items from the restaurant. When I was handed the toppings, it was very passive aggressive and the manager could not even look at me while handing me the container. After assembling my own burger, the flavor was nothing to write home about. I received burnt fries as well, which I didn’t even bother to bring up. Overall this store was quite dirty, workers were rude and lazy, and the best part of my experience was the cherry limeade. I did want to add that the tall, older gentleman who checked me out in the store area had some great customer service. He was kind and attentive, helped me find an item I was looking for and even recommended a new item based on the one I got, and i’m very excited to try it. Read moreHere we are February 2nd and this Braum's is still the worst Braum's in Oklahoma City. I just went in there and spent 30 minutes finding all my items just to be told their credit card machine was not working period I just spoke to the manager and he said it's been down for 5 days at least. You can't fix your systems? This is the worst Braum's I've ever been to. And of course when I ask for the manager the manager was not there. That's exactly the problem. No accountability at this braum's. All the people they have working there do not want to work there they're overworked they have one guy that's supposed to stock everything and check people out. That guy is always in a bad mood no matter who they have working in there that guy is overworked whether it's a guy or a girl. Do not go to this Braum's drive out of your way like I have to do to go to another braum's.
You can't get any good help these days apparently. I just left there and ordered a bag of burgers and before I could pick it up the cook let some other guy walk off with my order.... he tried to blame the guy for stealing my order, when it's his job to make sure people get their correct orders. The younger generation does not know about customer service or how to run businesses. A business is only good is its employees. And Braum's stinks these days!
Just left Braum's again and once again can't get any good help. They were out of fat free milk and I asked the person if they had any more and she did not even answer me. Maybe she did not speak English. I asked her three times and she flat out ignored me and refused to even answer me. So she was too lazy to even look for the milk and she was even back there stalking it. But was too lazy to move a crate and look for the milk I was needing. They were completely out of it.
