Save a few dollars and go to Jeff's Cafe on classen for breakfast. You can pay $7 there or $12 here (eggs and bacon with coffee and juice was $21). Jeff's knows how to cook it right too. Or pay the same price at Hunny Bunny or one of the other GREAT breakfast places around. I ordered over medium eggs and the whites were still runny. Barely cooked enough for over easy. Asked for crispy bacon and it came out floppy. If you can't properly cook eggs or bacon don't cook in a breakfast restaurant. Pretty basic stuff to not get right. Also seems they don't follow health code standards, taking my half eaten plate into the kitchen and returning it to me with new eggs on it.

I have known about this resturant for over 20 years but have never stepped into the place until now. It is definitely a very unstated restautant with an old school diner feel. It wasn't busy on the day of our visit but from the guests they had, they have a group of loyal patrons. And being next to a budget hotel, they probably serve several travelers too. It took longer than expected before we were served but there were only three staff doing everything from bussing and clearing the tables. The menu has alot of options from breakfast to dinner, from Mexican to all American burgers. The portion was generous.

This. Place. Is. Amazing. Ambiance is a perfect blend of the 1990s cafeteria and greasy spoon feel. I've never had a more true experience at a real local diner in all my years - did I mention it's on Route 66? And the wait staff is beyond friendly and helpful. My family with our 3 year old, from Texas on a day trip, we're floored at thr hospitality we never feel in our own state. It was beautiful the food - perfectly prepared, served, and tasted HEAVENLY. 10/10 would/will return, highly recommend.

I have been going to Woodbridge for over 10 years now and I suspect I have dined there hundreds of times. The place is a retreat for me- it's somewhere I can go and completely lose myself in the atmosphere of great company of both other customers and the staff alike. Over the years I can pretty well guarantee I've had everything on the menu that's the only food I don't like is raw turnips- and I've never been disappointed nor have I had any selection of that was less than superb. Almost every item on the menu has a real down home taste, the unique taste of your mama's kitchen. Every meal I have had at Woodbridge - regardless if it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner has always arrived at my table hot and ready to be consumed . I recommend the chicken fried steak because it's just not served as a battered cooked steak, rather, it is seasoned correctly and you will be surprised to find hidden under each steak - which is 9 or 10 inches long- another steak more than half the size of the one on top! I've also discovered each entree has always been cooked correctly and never burned or undercooked. But as good as the food has always been when I've eaten there what really makes this restaurant is the staff (and owner who is normally present) brong a warm and pleasant atmosphere to your table . Its never like how many other restaurants employees come to the table take your order and make the entire experience feel like you have been processed. There is not a high turnover of at Woodbridge, as some of them have been there for years and years. I've known Terry and Misty the longest, but they're not the only ones who know where me and my family like to dine while we're there - they also remember our choices of drinks, and our previous instructions of the customization of our selections of condiments. More than a few times I have gone blank on things such as what I want to choose for side orders and these two ladies are quick to prompt me what my favorite dishes are there! One of the nicest things about this restaurant is being greeted by the owner when we enter, and being bid farewell by him when we leave. It's the simple things like this that brings me back again and again. Terry and Misty are not only wait staff at this restaurant but they have become very dear to me and my family over the years and we consider them good friends. I would recommend Anyone who reads this review to put my claims to the test and see if you don't have a wonderful experience dining in...

This is a little hole and the wall. Half of me is sad nobody knows about this place (younger generation) and the other half is trying to keep our favorite home cooked restaurant a secret. We love it here! Feels like back home!

Update: I changed my review from 5 starts to 3 stars. I’m unsure what happened here. The service is AWFUL. We’ve came here 5 different times in the past few months just thinking maybe it was an off day, nope. The food is always good but our waitress left without saying anything before we got our food, and never came back. I had to get up to look for her after waiting 30 minutes when we were finished. It’s embarrassing how bad it is. You guys need to find better staff. I know exactly who it was too, we’ve had her a few times and each time she has an attitude. It’s the old tall lady who wears braids majority of the time she serves. Also, there’s never anyone up front when we place to go. I waited up front for 15 min while the staff was in the back doing whatever, looking at me, and then going back behind the wall. It’s crazy how this place went to our favorite place to eat to now never...

Have been surprised how the cooking department has stepped up their game after the awful decision of dismissing Michael. After he was fired I was very unsatisfied with the food preparation, however the last several months the food preparation has improved dramatically, and I'm once again recommending friends and neighbors to Woodbridge. I ate there this past Thursday and was so impressed by my meal that after eating I stepped into the kitchen for a brief moment and thanked both cooks for a job well done. For proper hasty and excellent morning service, Cassidy and Rhonda are the rehearsed and well-seasoned servers I recommend. In the evening, make sure you request either Misty or Terry, both who have worked here for years and share a unique ability with Cassidy to anticipate your every want. I love the nostalgia of privately owned restaurants who make everyday efforts to support and supply their customers with great food, quick service, and dependable employees. Add the fact of inexpensive meals and Woodbridge...
