Cajun Corner in Oklahoma City is a five-star delight that brings authentic Louisiana flavor to the heart of OKC! From the moment we walked into the vibrant, clean restaurant at 9200 N Council Rd, the friendly staff made us feel like family. The atmosphere buzzes with a casual, welcoming vibe, complete with a full bar and a rooftop lounge that’s perfect for relaxing. The menu is a Cajun lover’s dream, offering dishes from $9-$12 that pack a punch. I savored the blackened shrimp platter with dirty rice—perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection. My partner’s fried seafood combo, featuring catfish and shrimp, was crispy and flavorful, though the breading was slightly dense. The gumbo stole the show with its rich, authentic roux, and the hush puppies were golden and addictive. For those who prefer milder flavors, they’ll happily adjust the spice level.Service is prompt and personal, with staff checking on every table, creating a warm, family-run feel. The crabby burger, an Angus patty topped with crab, was a unique highlight, paired with seasoned fries that didn’t disappoint. We ended with beignets, fresh and dusted with powdered sugar—a sweet nod to New Orleans.Cajun Corner’s commitment to quality, affordability, and hospitality makes it a must-visit. It’s not just a meal; it’s a taste of Louisiana’s soul. We’re already planning our next visit to try the...
Read moreI’m glad they stopped advertising their swai as “catfish” it’s an FDA nono and I don’t do swai. It’s a dirty fish, compared to channel cat even. The shrimp poboys are nice, I like the slaw instead of salad it adds a lot of flavor. The blackened chicken is good and the NOLA style fettuccini is rich and filling. Order a little bread to mop up the sauce. Dining in: it’s hard floors and high ceiling so it’s loud. Community seating so good for groups and great for kids like mine who yell at their food while they’re eating it. They have battered seasoned fries and chicken strips. What more could a 2yo want? Summary: it’s good. I avoid the slow cooked creole dishes like gumbo and etouffe because frankly mine are hands down better and swimming in 7 different kinds of seafood and legit andouille. But that’s just personal preference between me, and my dutch oven. Every time I order them just because I’m craving it; I spend the next day or two just wishing I had made a pot myself. I’m the same way with crabs with exception of cheap bbq crabs like kings or seafood party. So go check this place out. I endorse a shrimp poboy or the blackened chicken Alfredo. Or both! But if you want good actual catfish from America; bob’s on the east side is old school, no frills, affordable, and good. Go during busy hours for hot fish right out of the fryer. Odd hours...
Read moreThe service was nice. The cashier/server gave great suggestions. We didn’t wait much time for our food.
Environment was soothe; doesn’t matter where you seat, you can see the street from the French windows. Half of the first floor gets to watch two TV; the other half gets to see others’ satisfaction faces😆. They also have a big table outside and a 2nd floor.
Great lighting and music 🎶! It’s suitable for dates 😉& of course friends and families.
Overall, it’s a great place for foodies.
They have the best carrot cake I’ve ever had!
The ice cream’s texture is so creamy and sticky like it’s made with condensed milk.
The dry carrot slices were yummy enough to make my husband and I argued for 10 min over whether they put sugar on it. [ For the record! I don’t think they put sugar on the carrot slices! If so...plz don’t tell my husband =.= ]
The cake itself is neither too sweet nor greasy like many others. (I normally don’t eat donuts bc they are too sweet to me. Just giving you an idea about how much sugar I can handle).
Last but not least! The pecans are so good!!!!! They are like cherries on top of ice creams!!! They are a bit sticky but in a good way! I’m not sure how they process the pecans! They definitely did a...
