Having lived in the neighborhood for about a year and constantly hearing good things I finally decided to stop by and give it a try. My sister and I walked in and spent a few minutes looking at their menu deciding what to get. I made my decision and walked over to the counter to order. The lady, whose name I didn’t catch, asked what I would like. I ordered my meal and paid without any problems. This next part is where things started to get interesting. I looked down at the number in front of me and asked “is this mine?” while pointing to the number in front of me. She responded that it was and I went on my way to fill my drink cup and find a table. My sister ordered after me and separately and met me at the table a few minutes later. Her food came quick, I didn’t think about it as I’d ordered a large plate and she got a wrap. The same woman who took our order brought her food and took her number away. Time went by… about 5-7 minutes. Eventually we saw another gentleman walking around with a plate of food looking at the numbers on tables and walk back to the kitchen. My sister commented that she thought it was my food. I didn’t worry about it and told her I’d wait a little bit before I went to ask about mine as I didn’t want to be “that guy” - a few minutes later, approx 3 minutes, the woman who took our order was walking around the restaurant with the same plate of food looking for numbers. The gentleman from before made a comment “I bet it’s that guy over there with no food” (motioning towards me) and she quickly responded “no it’s not his.” My sister again said, “I bet that’s yours” and we made sure the number on the table was perfectly visible. About a minute later the lady was walking around again, this time with a receipt in her hand and reading aloud my name from the credit card receipt. I raised my hand and said “hi yes that’s me” and she started towards me. As she got to the table she said “Sir, you took the wrong number” in a very condescending tone. I responded, “I took the number you gave me and confirmed was mine” to which she retorted “your number was 48” which was actually my sisters number that she took away from the table when she delivered her food. My number was 40. Some other diners at the table next to me overheard my say to my sister “did she really just blame me for this?” and they spoke up saying that were surprised by that comment as well. For my first time ever being here, this really rubbed me the wrong way. Don’t blame your customers for you own mistakes. I enjoyed my meal and would probably come back but I hope that employee is in a better mood next time. The other diners made a joke as we left “don’t forget it was your fault!” which we chuckled about.
TLDR: Great food, one...
Read moreThe food is good, but they will give you half of what you ordered EVERY TIME. I have ordered food from this place 6 times in the last few months, and EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. the order has showed up missing items. EVERYTIME, I have to drive up to the place and get it. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, but using delivery apps causes prices to skyrocket, so the least you could do is give the customer all of the food they paid for. Maybe they do this as a cost saving measure, hoping I won't notice half the order is missing every single time??
I'm not exaggerating when I say that this place has given me a portion of my order every single time I have ever ordered from there. Today, I spoke to the manager and just told her that I do not want any credits, not to worry about the refund, because I will never support this establishment ever again. There are plenty of other hard-working local restaurants that won't try to rip you off every time an order comes through.
EDIT: After reading similar reviews of this establishment regularly shorting peoples delivery orders, I'm going to assume that they think they can just get away with ripping you off if you have your food...
