I haven't given a breakfast review until now. I love Biscuits and gravy. I grew up on a dairy farm. my Grandfather, made the best gravy. I'm always in search of the best gravy. So far in Oklahoma Savoy in tulsa has the prize...I am writing this because I have never been more disappointed in the taste of something as this place. I took my mom there yesterday. we typically go to "Good Gravy" in OKC, their gravy is a 5 on scale of 1-10 btw and have the mediocre sausage and bacon, the ham is best there. but I wanted to change it up.... Soo I googled best gravy in OKC and HunnyBunny popped up with all these great reviews. So I asked mom if she would be ok trying out a new gravy place....so we went Line at the door so my expectations rose and I have to admit I did get excited. I ordered for us Biscuits and Sausage Gravy. plain coffee for mom a maple latte for me and 2 breakfast sausage patties. the price was $32. sat down and waited with Great Expectations. when the food arrived I had an instant Hunch it was not the kind of Gravy I search for. It tried to look Healthy and pretty. I should have taken pictures. I will in the future (if I give another review). the gravy looked FAKE it was too white and had the constancy of Elmer's Glue with sausage. the sausage patties btw looked also fake (I took a bite wrapped them both up in a napkin fed to my dog when got home, she enjoyed it). I had a bite of biscuitand gravy..it tasted like flour paste. Flour paste is NOT gravy. I'm sorry to say this but gravy has to have Grease it is not supposed to be healthy its Gravy. I told my mom this morning that gravy has made me not want gravy from a restaurant for a bit. my gravy Craving is gone...DOES REAL GREASY GRAVY with yummy Real seasoned Sausage exist in any restaurant in OKC? Probably other menu items taste good but NOT their Gravy to people who know what gravy is supposed to taste like....if you know you know...but if you are new age taste buds and don't know why grease makes everything taste better than this place is for you. Bottom Line: Gravy tastes like paste and sausage is greaseless and has a fake flavor that's not sausage. the maple latte I drank...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Hunny Bunny Biscuit Co.or (H.B.B) for short is a wonderful business that has a uniqueness to it. To what exactly that might be I'm not quite sure. Even though from the soothing aesthetics, to the staff, and delicious food.Ā I can certainly say without a doubt this place has become one of my favorites.
The best way to describe H.B.B is contemporaneous, at first you get hit with bright colors but soon you start to realize from the white-tiled ceiling to the salmon color cabinets and the light grey of the walls even from the smooth wood finished tables as well as the lighting fixtures every single thing in this establishment has a concinnous feel to it. Consequently, an important aspect to any successful business begins with the management of a customer caring and determined staff.
An equally significant aspect of H.B.B is their staff from the moment I entered the building I was greeted with the utmost care, and professionalism you'd expect from a diner. Even though it was my first time being here the employees were patient and in the mean time they also gave me a few recommendations, and let me tell you, I was not disappointed nor will you. Furthermore what truly made this whole experience more harmonious than anything was their delectable food.
In conclusion when it comes down to the food at Hunny Bunny Biscuit Co. The only way to properly describe it is one of one, which means the food is unparalleled to any other that I've tasted in my 3 years of being a food critique in which not only can assure you that you will too. The first meal I ordered was called "Veggie Scramble" it's an omelet with a soft, and fluffy biscuit, the eggs that composed the omelet were cooked to perfection they had a creamy rich taste and each bite I took the more, and more various flavors would come together from the crunchiness of the bell peppers to the smoothness of the mushrooms and spinach, yet in the center of everything is fresh goat...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSO GOOD!!! We ordered the hot mess, basically biscuits and gravy with cheese, tator tots and an egg, with choice of sausage or mushroom gravy. We ordered with sausage gravy, mushroom gravy just sounded weird to be honest, however, my husband realized as we were devouring it, that it was not sausage gravy after all! What a happy accident! We asked the waiter about it and he offered to replace it with the correct order, even though we'd already eaten at least half. We were not about to let him walk away with that plate, no way, so instead we asked he just bring out a side of sausage gravy. The sausage gravy was very good, don't get me wrong, but the mushroom gravy was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Mushroom gravy probably isn't something I would've chosen without a recommendation, so I'm very grateful they "messed up" my order.
We split the hot mess, and then we split the strawberry shortcake biscuit. I did not know it was possible to make biscuits taste that good! Every part of that dish was just delightful. Fresh strawberries, light fluffy cream, a sweet strawberry sauce- perfection!
Highly highly recommend trying this place out. Very cute, chic place for brunch, great atmosphere, and easy on the budget too! I was about $20 for the two of us. Now stop reading this, and go plan a delicious brunch at Hunnybunny Biscuit...
