Ponyboy — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

This place used to be a decent bar. On my last and I mean my very last visit... they charged me $72 for two 16-oz modelos and two shots of Jameson. Shortly after this, my wife was assaulted by another patron, and they kicked her out of the venue. I came back after my wife was safe at home to find out why they acted the way they did. Upon my return I wanted to order something that wasnt going to cost $30+ a person and then find out what led to the decision of my wifes unnecessary removal after she was removed but the bartender became unruly and told me that asking about pricing meant that i should go to another establishment. The bartender refused service. I left the building, and they pursued me to make sure I wasn't going to cause a problem. I don't know what world they live in, but most people are just that... people. I will never set foot on these grounds again, and I will encourage all my friends and associates not to visit this establishment. I encourage all my musician friends not to play here ever again. I have been coming to this place since it opened, and there is I significant difference in operations from when it was a local place to date. Watch yourself and your women. The bar itself is an absolute blast! I will admit however the bartenders at the upstairs bar were completely rude, ageist, disrespectful and some of the MEANEST people i have ever encountered! two friends and myself were waiting in line to order and the girl on shift at the time told us to move out of her line and that we were in her way. shocked but understanding that she could have been in the middle of something, we moved to the other bartender. she rolled her eyes at him (towards us), and so i apologized to her for whatever we may have done. She literally word for word said “i don’t care what you have to say to me, GO AWAY” and shooed me away with her hands!!!! aggravated at this point i thought to tell the other man working with her that she was completely rude to us. He shoved us off and said he could care less! if this is how they treat PAYING patrons i do not want any part of it! OKC is known to be incredibly inclusive and this place just gave off the worst...

One of my favorite places to go out. I dont go out too often and I'm not into super crowded places. The downstairs bar area is definitely crowded and the first time I came I almost left pretty quickly. Then we noticed some people going up a staircase we didn't see at first. Surprise! There's a dance floor and bar upstairs! Really enjoyed this part of the bar. It's not super crowded like some of the clubs in Bricktown and it doesn't take 6 years to get a drink at the bar. Bathroom situation isnt always the greatest since (as far as I could tell) there were only 2 family bathrooms. That makes for quite a line. But the people in line were friendly. The people at this bar in general seem a lot friendlier than other places. It doesn't have that "smells like competition" vibe a lot of clubs have. And I've never had anyone weird come up on me here! Have had quite a few good hearted dance circles going though. I'd totally recommend it for those of us who aren't hard...
