I made an order online (Uber eats) of an order of Quesabirrias plate, paid for a side of grilled jalapeños. To start with, the order took 15 minutes to be accepted by the restaurant, from the moment I placed it, then my driver had to wait another 5 minutes when he got there. I thought it was "OK" since they open at 11 AM, and I made my order at 11:30. I requested enough limes for my birria, they sent me half a lime, dry lime, FORGOT the jalapeños I PAID for. I also specified I needed utensils and napkins; guess what? Correct, none of that. If we already started that way, you think your customers are gonna like the food? Please don't trust me completely on what about to say next, because I'm already disappointed, but the food was too greasy and flavorless, couldn't even squish the little limes they sent me and couldn't enjoy my jalapeños with my food just the way I like my food, that's why I PAID for it (?). I of course called the restaurant to let them know the issues, and the guy that answer the phone has 0 training and/or skills for customer service, didn't make me feel like he was empathetic and he "offered" to give me a free order on my next visit. I'm sorry, but, excuse me? Is that the best you can do? I'm not b*$&ing because I wanted food, I was expecting him to offer me different ways to make it right, such as to give me my money back? I'm already dissatisfied with your service, what makes you think I'm going to visit you or order online again? There's a reason this place looks exactly like in 2007 but old and tacky.
Edit: I justa want to calrify that the order free he offered, waas the jalapenos side they missed. And when I said in this post I wanbted my money back, I was talking about the money I paid for said SIDE, not the whole order, im not...
Read moreI love chelinos. I have probably been to every one that has been open the area, but this one is the worst. The handicap parking is terrible (it is on the opposite side of the entrance, or it has a curb that you have to climb over to get in on the side that has the door.
The food. The food was ok, and as I said before, I love chelinos, but I am spoiled (I'll touch on that soon) I got the chicken and rice, unfortunately, I got the bad draw on the breast I happened to receive, but that's luck of the draw, it was very grissely, but I can't hold that against them. Otherwise, it was a good meal.
Now, the service. The service here was the worst of the chelinos that I have been to, and like I said, I have been to a LOT. We were give the salsa and the queso quickly, just like other locations, but aside from that, we had looked over the menus, and they were setting down on the table (which, COULD be taken as we hadn't looked at them yet) and no one even asked us if we had had time to look at them or not. For example, 15 minutes had passed after we had gotten our drinks (which, again, was very timely/fast), and not a single person came to ask. We had to flag our server down to actually order.
However, on the flip side of all that, the drink refils kept coming without problem.
I conclude with this: If you want a good Chelinos to have a meal at with EXCELLENT customer service, then go to the Midwest City location. I could go on and on with how great they are, which is why I am spoiled, they are in my neck of the woods, like less than 10 mins from my house. But believe me when I say I would drive across the city to the one...
Read moreIm very confused by these reviews. Maybe I mistakenly chose the zero seasoning option because real Mexican food or at least most Mexican restaurants use spices and seasonings like cumin, oregano, garlic, ground chiles, coriander or even just salt and pepper, but there was none in my whole order! It was all so tasteless and bland and I had a pretty decent sized order! The chicken from my nachos was dry and overcooked and seemed to be baked with the nacho chips and it was all just a big block. The queso was definitely canned cheese product and was very clumpy with no flavor at all absolutely not real cheese. The fajitas were tasteless with no seasoning and everything seemed to just be steamed or boiled even the peppers and onions and I didn’t see not even a speck of pepper or any other seasoning on any of it! The “habanera salsa” was also watery and had no heat whatsoever! It was all bad and I wasted $60+. I feel bad to leave this review but I feel like they’ve made some bad decisions with the way they cook this food. Im a truck driver so I’ve had Mexican food all over the country and this is definitely at the bottom of a very long list of restaurants Ive had. Sorry but I...
