Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

Ok, let get into this review of the Honey Pepper Pimento chicken sandwich. Now, because I think I am a certified food blogger, I purchased the spicy chicken and grilled chicken version of this sandwich and requested all the sauces on the side just in case! The spicy chicken version, to be honest didn’t do it for me like it wanted it to. I thought I couldn’t taste the honey (I didn’t need it either) but in hindsight was was a bit sweet. I was thinking the pimento cheese was the honoree on this sandwich but I guess it was the honey because it was more sweet than sweet and savory, for me that is! I wish I would have put pickles on it also which I think would have broke out the monotony for me. The grilled version, now, may have did just a little bit for me, it was a better taste of the pimento cheese mixed with the grilled chicken. I still wish I put pickles in that sandwich though. If I must say, I think the pimento cheese was missing something like pickles… #hinthint As always, the waffle fries were a banger with that Polynesian sauce… I didn’t try the milkshake because my palate does not party with sweets like that! I was double charged for a transaction at this location, and they refused to refund it!

I placed an order through the app, and upon arriving at the window was told there was a problem with my card. I handed the clerk the same card I have connected to the app, and they swiped it. BOTH charges posted, the swiped charge and the charge through the app.

I contacted the local manager and texted him screenshots of my order in the app, my bank summary showing the charge posted (not in a pending status) and the individual details of each entry available from my online banking system.

They said they are unable to confirm the posting of the double charge and referred me back to my bank. My bank confirms 2 charges have posted and opened a claim for the second one for the same date and time.

I am a huge fan of Chic fil and was excited to see a new franchise closer to my house. The big issue for me is how slowly the line moves (especially for this chain). The food is great….. edit 04/27/24. The speed of the drive thru has greatly improved since my last post. The new lobby design feels cramped and spartan. I enjoy pink packet sweetener with my unsweet tea, and they don’t carry it anymore. Edit post… I’ve noticed these guys have closed one of the drive thru lines and renamed it app pickup or the like. It is always empty and the other lane, where the rest of their customers wait stays full. I suppose they are trying to encourage people to use their app, like every other fast food chain. I would prefer the faster service I’ve grown accustomed to. Even if I don’t want to bother adding a fast food app...
