City Bites — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

We tried the new City Bites location tonight. The food itself was pretty good — fresh ingredients and good flavor overall. However, we spent about $22 per person for a large sandwich, chips, and a drink, which felt a bit pricey for what we got.

One of our sandwiches was made incorrectly, and when we asked for it to be corrected, the staff required us to show our receipt before remaking it. They did fix it, but it didn’t feel like they were particularly eager to help.

The team working seemed very young — probably college-aged — and there didn’t appear to be any adult supervision or management presence at the time, which might explain the lack of customer service consistency.

This new City Bites location is super convenient and the portions are finally impressive again! I ordered two spuds (Turkey & Baja) and two cookies (Pumpkin Spice & Snickerdoodle). The potatoes were huge—exactly what they should be. The Turkey Spud was loaded with meat, but the Baja felt light on chicken and heavy on sour cream.

The big surprise? The cookies! As a longtime City Bites fan, I’ve seen them shrink over the years, but these were much closer to the “classic” City Bites cookies I remember. The Pumpkin Cookie especially hit the mark.

Overall: Great value, great cookies, and a step back in the right direction...
