Plenty of parking, service is promt and polite, restrooms were clean and smelled good, the aesthetics of the resturant was modern and clean with plenty of space, the menu is good but needs to be consolidated and the daily special(s) listed with the menu, drinks are averaged price with beer about $5, mixed drinks $9 and sake $20 plus wines, the sushi was sold in 2 pieces about $6 for 2 pieces, sushi rolls were around $10 a roll and sashimi was either in 5 or 8 pieces and sold for $13 to $20 depending on the fish and order size. The entrees ranged from noodles to steak and the costs from $12 to $31 for the individual entree. There are sets available based on the number of people dining. They do have appetizers and desserts. Also if you are military please show your ID card and you will be given a discount. I had tuna sashimi, with fried mackerel and a Sapporo beer. The sashimi is cut thick and seems to melt in your mouth. The mackerel is fried perfectly so it flakes as you put your fork or chock sticks on it. It had a great fishy taste and it was oily like fried mackerel should be....not dry but flavorable. The beer was served in a iced glass adding to the coldness of the beer. This was my second visit here and this time I brought my son. He lives in Dallas and visits many similar resturants there and he said it was one of the best sushi restaurants he has eaten at. I have lived in Asia for many years too and I would say the quality and quantity as well as the taste and preparation were excellent. Both of my visits were delightful and both my son and I will be...
Read moreI've never been to The Sushi Bar so I wasn't sure what to expect. First off, the atmosphere was really nice. They had tables throughout (both inside and outside) and this neat area where you can go sit in a big round table. You don't have chairs but you sit on a small pillow and you leave your shoes in another area. It looked like a fun experience. When we were seated our waiter came and took our drink orders. I love multiple lemon slices on the side that I can squeeze in my water. He was sure to give me plenty of lemons, which was a big positive. He asked if we wanted an appetizer to which we said no. Then a few minutes later he came back and took our order. As we waited he came and brought a bottle of soy sauce to our table and refilled our waters. Then our food arrived. I ordered J's special and my date had Captain Crunch and something else. I've eaten sushi in multiple restaurants and hands down this was the best I have ever had. They did bring you chopsticks which I used but struggled as I've not learned the proper way to use them. Although it would have been nice if the training clip was offered but on the other hand I didn't ask. Another thing I noticed that it was not loud in the restaurant although it was very busy (it was a Saturday night at 7:45pm). I seriously can't...
Read moreI really hate leaving such a bad review for an establishment my family and I have enjoyed for many of my wife's and my son's birthdays. This particular visit for my wife's birthday however was beyond unacceptable. We were seated with almost no wait (the only positive thing about the vist), our drink order was taken by our waiter Trevor R. and then we waited and waited and waited just to order our food. After we ordered, we waited and waited and waited and then appetizers and one meal arrived, and we continued to wait until a steak arrived. It was ordered rare and arrived almost well done. And then more waiting for my wife and our older kids' food. We reached a breaking point and asked if we could have our remaining order to go. An hour and a half we were able to leave, with my wife, our two oldest children and myself still hungry. At least our toddler got to eat I guess. We most likely will find a new place to eat sushi, like Volcano. It's too bad. Trevor needs retrained on how to look after a table or he needs fired. The manager did take off the steak from the ticket and something else in an attempt to make a bad situation better and thank you for that but it's really not enough to justify...
