First off, scuttle the "dumb white people" menu and ask for the Chinese menu. (TRUST ME.)
I mean, why get bland and inauthentic Cantonese-American crap you can get anywhere when you can get fresh, homemade, authentic Chinese dishes in one of the best Chinese restaurants in town?
The Singapore Noodles are to die for, and the stir-fried asparagus is so good it's been known to make grown men weep tears of joy. Don't even get me started on the salted fish hot pot, nor the rich and fatty Crispy Duck.
Some dishes are special dishes (e.g., the fried quail) that come and go, so be sure to check the specials board.
ignore the fact that the place has all the ambience of an auto/body shop and is located in an re-purposed International House of Pancakes circa 1962. Seriously. (I mean, you're not there to look at the tchotchkes, now are you?)

Avoid going here on Saturday and Sunday nights -- the place is always PACKED.

Read moreWell I had to come change my review around. This was one of my favorite places. Today my mom and I dined in as we have many times. The total was like 32 bucks. I tipped 6 dollars off my card for a total of 38 and we left. One of the older ladies came flying out the restaurant and almost climbed in my jeep and held her hand on my door so my mom couldn't close it, was pretty much right on top of her and in her personal space, screaming out you no tip, YOU NO TIP! I said excuse me mamn what the hell are you talking about? She said, you no leave cash on the table, you no tip!!! All while shaking her goddamn finger in our face. I said look here crazy lady, not everyone goes around carrying cash on them, secondly I tipped on my recept through my card like most normal people in 2024 and you are sorely mistaken and looking foolish. My mom was right there and she confirmed and said she saw me tip 6 dollars. She just shook her head and stomped off mad. Like straight psycho... Went back in and then turned around like she was going to storm my vehicle again. It was super left field and very unprofessional. You do not treat people like that. Crazy is she wasn't really the one who waited on us anyway.
It will be a long while before I return back if I ever do at all. I'm 40 years old and I've never had someone mistakenly yell at me like I was a scumbag for not tipping when I did.
The food here is huge portions and tastes amazing, but it's not going to be enough to cover mistreatment like that. Especially to a regular. I ate here...
Read moreSo lots of great reviews so the wife and I had to check out Chows. We moved from Ca. Last year and havnt really found our must have Chinese Restaurant yet.
So the sweet and sour pork was good but the breading was a bit touph. They serve it with sauce on the side which tends to be the culprit. Next time I will ask for the sauce to be added before they serve to us.
Kung Pow Chicken shared the spotlight with the Walnut Shrimp! The Kung Pow actually had subtle layers of flavor that complimented the heat. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the walnuts were masterfully roasted so you could still enjoy them without chipping a tooth. The sauce was the magic to this dish. Perfectly sweet, not overpowering the shrimp. These dishes where amazing. Absolutely nailed it!
The pork fried rice was a little bland but I see where they were going with this. Added a bit if soy sauce and hot oil and it was screaming. The barbqued pork was cubed and at least 3/4" per cube! Hearty!
The fried dumplings where absolutely fantastic!!
I was a bit confused on the egg rolls. No meat.
Unfortunitly the hot and sour soup was not hot but I was told next time I can ask for a spicy upgrade! The flavor was not complicated and really thats what I like on top of being spicy to the point of sweating. Over all this was the most pleasant Chinese Restaurant we have eaten at to date. We will be back.
Thanks for a great...
