Normally, I would support small businesses such as this. But don’t get me wrong, I was a constant Patriot of this business until I realized that they are false advertising on the amount of crab that they’re giving you in their scrap pans and once you figure it out and question it Lee(employee) wants to shame you in the room full of customers, she said , in a very loud tone, And I quote “ Wow, I can’t believe you came up here with your order and a scale. I just never seen anybody do that before , as if I have no business questioning them about what I paid for and what they advertised, I constantly have had an issue with that part if it’s just not simply missing food like my daughter had a piece of fish missing off her entrée and of course she was told that she could come back and get another piece of fish but when she did the same thing happened to her, I was told to go back and get the rest of the crab that was not there that had been weighed out, but when I got there, I was belittle demean and talked very disrespectfully when I called the owner while standing in the room while that was happening, he did not answer. He sent a text letting me know, “He was in a dead area”, but never addressed the issue or offered me the money back, which I asked for when I realized Lee wasn’t fixing my order. She just kept saying, what do you want me to do about it ?”…………if I would have known they were not gonna make the order right, I wouldn’t waste gas to drive back up there. I would’ve just asked for the refund by phone while I had the owner on the line., so I asked for a refund there while being belittled, Lee refused to refund my order or make it right! I’ve been texting the owner to let him know what she was saying and doing and asked him to give me a refund via text. He never responded back to the message until this very day. Sure, I could take it to the Better Business Bureau, make a big fuss but I think that they’ll figure it out sooner than later that you won’t be able to treat the patriots this way take their money and not make sure that they’re satisfied or at least be willing to give them money back if they’re not, I wasted gas going there twice After talking to the owner and he told me to go back. I told him I Would be there in 25 minutes. It was about an hour or so later when I arrived, nobody in that building knew anything about what I was talking about or at least they pretended not to know, nor were they gonna call him (owner)to address the issue. Also, I need to add I received all pinky in my pan. Maybe a couple of them was as big as my pointy finger which is not that big either they went from having fairly nice size crab clause or scraps to these little baby pinky scraps. And it was under weight. Which I believe they sold me the littlest ones on purpose because I have said something to them about the weight before, that day! Sadly, I will not be going back to that location unless they give me a refund for my crab or make that order right and I would advise no one else to go there to be taken advantage of by this business. There are so many other places in Oklahoma City that serve good crab and is up the same quality each time that you go. And nobody’s serving any personal vendetta like Crab n catfish Co. There are place like Brent seafood they have a better selection of seafood, which is across the street from these swindlers other location names “Bayou Jaq.” In Edmond, Ok. Don’t go to either of there locations, which I hear Edmond location crabs are very Salty, like the People that work at crab n catfish in Moore, lol 😂 Ok. There’s Hook n Reel also Crab Town, Pier 88 and Crawfish Pot. These are some really good spots to eat crab and seafood with the same good quality every time you visit. Happy...
Read moreThe food tasted excellent! Ordered 2lbs of the scrap special crab legs 🦀, catfish platter, and gumbo. My only issue was the disparity of how the dine in customers were treated by the young lady behind the counter, I believe her name was Candice. I do not know if she’s aware, but it was evident that she was more attentive to the Caucasian families such as the Jone’s (yes that was their name) than the customers of color. It was disappointing to say the least. It were some things that stuck out….1) When your order is ready, I’ll call you up. Oh…so, you brought their food to their table, but if it’s mines, I have to come get it? I guess she caught herself and replied “oh no, I’ll bring it over” 2) placed an order of catfish platter. “It’ll be a long wait, if you don’t want to wait that’s fine, you can cancel and order it next time.” I told her I don’t mind (It’s a rainy Sunday, I have nowhere to be after church service). I notice that the with the Jone’s who also have a fried dish as well as the other table, Candice goes over and explains the wait and offers gumbo. Did not do the same for my table….I did not mind, whatever. I go up to place an order of gumbo and mentioned that I overheard her asking those two tables if they’d like a gumbo while they wait. She made a snarky comment along the lines of bc they have a wait….I’m thinking we also have a long wait for the catfish platter. I could careless if I’m charged and they were not, but it’s the fact of the DISPARITY. 3) She didn’t take my card, and walks off saying something under her breath. Again, I’m like whatever, it’s busy and she’s the only person up front and it’s a new business. I go to sit down and start eating the crab legs, she comes over, places the charge receipt by me and says when you’re ready to come up to pay for the gumbo, come up. I said here’s my card, feel free to swipe. She mentioned that she cannot (for whatever reason), just to come up when I’m done eating. Well idk if she thought we were going to eat and run or what, but she came back 3-4x within a 20min time frame to push the charge receipt closer to me as if to remind me. I’m thinking, really, I’m still eating, I have butter dripping down my hands and she initially said AFTER we got done eating. Well the 4th time, she decided to just take the card to the counter and swipe it herself (which I initially suggested from the get-go, but according to her, she couldn’t do so, yet she was able to apparently). When she dropped my card on the table and turned to walk away, I inquired about our catfish basket. She was like “what basket?” I had to remind her that we placed an order for catfish and then I supposed it clicked bc shortly afterwards, she brought it over to the table, says nothing, and walks off. As mentioned earlier, she was kind & friendly to the other tables that weren’t ppl of color as if to build rapport with them, but with my table it was a different story. If it wasn’t for the gentleman (I’m assuming the owner), who came out from the back after cooking, to check on EVERYBODY that was dining in, I would have left upset and disappointed overall. He was kind, friendly, patient, and brought us lids for our gumbo as well as a bag to place it in; so thank you Sir. Your food was excellent, seasoning was on point, and the catfish was AMAZING and fluffy. I don’t mind going to black owned businesses and spending $ within my community. I would just like to be treated the same as folks such as the Jone’s, their $ and my $ have the same currency and their plastic swipes just...
Read moreI’ve been here a couple times. The food is excellent!! Really good broil. Highly recommend.
My issue at my most recent visit is with the service. We walked into the restaurant at 8:35pm. At the time, their hours on google stated that they were open until 10pm. Apparently their hours recently changed to 9pm but they never updated it. It is updated now (I think because of this incident). When we arrived, the lady at the cash register did inform us that they had new hours and now closed at 9 but that there was no issue and to continue ordering. My family of 6 ordered our food. She gave us our drink cups and we found a table. 9:10 rolls around and she comes over and says: we’re closed so you’ll have to take your food to-go but we have it all packed and ready for you now. We were so confused. We were under the impression that we made the cut off time to order and dine in. She gave us plastic drink cups like we were dining in as opposed to styrofoam to-go cups. If that were not the case, she should have told us at the beginning that it would have to be to-go but she never did. We were looking to specifically dine in to spend time with the family. If we knew we couldn’t eat there, we would have found a different place.
We did not eat the food and she did refund us the money but it was just very disappointing service. We should’ve been told upfront about needing to take the food to go or they should’ve had the courtesy to stay late and allow us to dine in as they had the wrong hours listed on Google in the...
