While visiting in OKC for the Fiesta De Las Americans, I stopped in for a quick bite of some authentic Mexican food. I found the perfect place! Upon sitting down, I was greeted with chips and two kinds of salsa. That's always a beautiful start! The thin and crispy tortillas chips were warm, and both salsas (although completely different from each other) were spicy and had deep flavor! I ordered a few tacos to try and found the pollo and asada were my two favorites! Both were so juicy and tender, sitting on top of fresh homemade corn tortillas. I always order beans, as a GREAT Mexican restaurant will ALWAYS have homemade refried beans. I wasn't disappointed and found myself licking my fingers and enjoying every bite I took! The service, although busy, didn't skip a beat! The food came out fast, hot and delicious! We were never in need of anything as our waiter was prompt and attentive! Afterward, just pay for your meal at the desk on the way out and write down "El Potosino" as your go-to for authentic and delicious...
Read moreI was excited because the reviews were good and when we came into the restaurant there were a good number of people. They do serve you chips and salsa, and they were definitely really good. They give you two different salsa, one that is mild and one that has a kick. So be prepared, when we got our food I had the eggs with chorizo along with beans, potatoes and corn tortillas. The potatoes were cold when I got them and the beans were okay. The main part of the dish was also just okay, but the corn tortillas were really good. I do not think there was much flavor, maybe I came on the wrong day. The service was great, the waiters were really nice and accommodating. It is a 50/50 if I would come back...
Read moreVery disappointed. We ordered our food and we sat for at least 30 mins before they brought my daughters plate out. When they brought her plate they didn't bring her side of beans and rice. We asked where it was at and they then told use they were out of beans and rice. We hadn't gotten our other two plates of Asada plates yet. So we then asked will our plates have our beans and rice..... The waiter had to go ask she said. When she came back she said no but we can substitute for French fries...... lol really it's a Mexican restaurant. Mostly disappointed they let us sit there for at least 30 mins before half way letting us even know there was no beans and rice. Will never go back to...
