Let me not mention anything whatsoever about the food, and stick to my complaint, the service. Went this evening around 5 pm. Self seating. Waited almost 10 minutes before getting noticed. Not a huge issue. Drinks came. Had multiple servers throughout the dinner, so never really know who was our waiter/waitress. Again, not a problem in itself. Entrees came in a timely manner. No napkins for our salsa/queso. Asked our waitress (?) and we waited several minutes until someone else brought some. Ordered the main course, and it came quickly. Now we had to ask for silverware. Why do I have to ASK for everything!?? Just asking LOL!!! No salt/pepper. Waitress had to be asked for some, which we waited 5 minutes to get. Almost finished eating by now! Finished eating, and my daughter got her to go box. I asked for mine, never came. Asked again, no box. So I asked one of the servers for the check. She brought it, not the waitress. Never really was sure who that was, nor was not thanked at any time. So I knew at this point the tip was going to be small, and I am normally a BIG TIPPER!!! When earned, I tip. So the lady took my money and we watched her serve two tables as we sat waiting for my change. 6 minutes. Literally. My daughter, who is very patient, even was upset at this point. So I go get up from my table, and approach the cashier. I never got ugly, never rude or used bad language. The lady behind the bar, making change, got nasty. So the tip now becomes $1.00 Would NEVER go back. Wanted to tell the waitress why, but nowhere to be found! There...

Edit: management reached out to me within 24 hours and was very authentic in addressing the problem. The manager Kyle, called me and was shocked/disappointed at the quality. I am editing my review to add five stars for service, even though it was after the fact because he really did seem bummed out about my experience and also covered the cost for me to give it another try. worst experience ever at a Louie's. I ordered 10 wings (half lemon pepper, half sweet chili). I ordered to go and when I picked them up, they were 10 basic wings with a side of sauce and a side of seasoning. I asked the bartender if they could add the sauce and the seasoning. She told me they don’t put the seasoning or sauce on to go orders because they can make them soggy. I told her it was no problem and that I would wait Because if I put it on, it would be uneven and taste horrible but if they use their big pan to toss them that it would be more evenly dispersed. She took them to the back and came back with what you see in the photo. $18 for these wings. It was to go so I left a 15% tip. I brought colleagues here for a meeting a few weeks ago and it was awesome. This was horrible service and horrible quality. I can’t believe they even sent that...

Terrible service and <mediocre food served up on an invisible conveyor belt that begins transporting (read: pushing) you toward the door the moment you enter it. From about 6 to 9:00 p.m., get ready to wait for a table and don't forget your ear plugs. From 9:01 p.m. on, it's all about hurrying you up and getting you out. The chicken on our nachos was bone dry. Same for the chicken on my pizza. And the crumbled sausage on my pizza was burned and black. Our poor female order taker (the "s" word did not apply in any sense) appeared to suffer from a combination of ADHD and an attitude that suggested we were in her employ, and that we'd tip generously no matter what. It's something to see, watching the staff fully and frenetically preoccupied with pre-closing chores, while we waited for the better part of 15 minutes for our order taker to even come near the table. When she finally did, she was practically breathless delivering the first words out of her mouth, which were a warning that the kitchen was about to close (15 minutes earlier than it's supposed to). How ironic, we've waited for our order taker for 15 minutes. And now the kitchen is about to close--15 minutes early. Sometimes a (trained) server will actually stop walking, pausing at the table, near enough to hear the order they've initiated. Not tonight. Our order taker whizzed by like it was a game of catch me if you can. Maybe that's why she didn't hear the part about two UN-sweet teas? So we had to re-order the tea (at her convenience, the next time she whizzed past our table), and for some reason she needed to actually hear us say we didn't want to keep the sweet tea we hadn't ordered, interrupting our conversation for this all-important clarification. By this point on the clock, there's a very real danger that the tea is in the process of being thrown out anyway. Louie's has a long and rock solid history of tossing out that tea ahead of closing time, regardless of how many seated customers are still drinking it and paying three bucks for the luxury of it. This was my first time back at any Louie's since about a year before the south Meridian location closed. As far as the lake location, nothing's changed for the better. They're still trying to turn midnight into 10:30 p.m. as they rush up that closing time. But what about your fuel and your time and your patronage, you might ask, as you throw money into that big ole Hal Smith Group cash register? Don't they need our help to pay for their giant acquisition of Ted's Escondido? Wait, I think they already sold it for a gazillion dollars. Meh. Your time, fuel and patronage ain't no thing to Louie's. You need them a lot more than they need you. Give 'em a chance, and they'll prove it to you. Yep, they've still got that getcha gotcha thing goin' on with menu hours that differ from the building's hours. That full menu just keeps shutting down earlier and earlier-- 9:50... 9:45... 9:40... (they're supposed to keep serving the full menu until 10:00 p.m., so they say). Now tonight the "late-night" menu of pizzas and appetizers was also jeopardized by the early kitchen closing. Gotta get that kitchen staff off the clock, ASAP. To hell with the customer "experience," Hal Smith Group's got another restaurant chain to buy. Hal's gotta make a dolla. Midnight closing time? So says the door and the website. But the lighting came up to full tonight just a bit after 11:00 PM. Tea was thrown out while we were still gulping it, before 11:00 p.m. I'm surprised our order taker didn't yank our plates off the table while we were still eating. That's about the only wrong thing she didn't do. I actually can't imagine how a business could better communicate the message, "Get out, we' don't need your business after 9:00 p.m." Well, maybe if the staff all came to your table and belted out a group tune with exactly those lyrics. No doubt, I heard ya.

We decided to try Louie’s after taking a nice stroll at Lake Hefner. It’s a VERY relaxed atmosphere, with someone shouting “sit where you want” when we came in but don’t ask me who said it, because no one showed themselves from the crowd of workers standing at the kitchen entrance. My husband is in a wheelchair and we had no problems with seating. He ordered the fish and chips, which he sadly declared that they tasted like the Frozen fish we get at the market, and certainly not work the price. I ordered the Louie’s club sandwich that was very typical for a club sandwich. Our meals came, very quickly after we ordered, with sides of fries and they arrived just slightly warm, but cooled off really quickly. The plates looked nice, but lacked taste. We were disappointed that the persona they are trying to put out as being a high-end deli by the lake was sorely missed. The waitress was not friendly, never smiled, but she was attentive. So, she did her job, but did not lend to the atmosphere at all. The food server that actually brought our plates was very nice and friendly. Overall, we could have picked up a sandwich at a local fast food restaurant and got better food for far less.
