NEVER COMING BACK. WHY?? THE MOPPING STINKS, RUINED THE MEAL. WE LEFT EARLY WITH "TO GO" BOXES. This is fourth time in a row that we've been blasted by the super strong odor of the liquid of whatever is being mopped on the floor right next to.out table . We were there an hour or more before closing. My clothes smell of it now in our car. I coughed throughout the entire meal. We left early because the odor was so invasive. These past two times, I spoke up about it! The food is great. Except that your tabouli salad is almost exclusively parsley and tomatoes. Where's the cracked wheat? The taste of the parsley is mighty strong. It really needs the cracked wheat to balance it out. My husband was Lebanese. I know what cracked wheat tastes like in tabouli.
Please be aware of the comfort of your customers. I am not a person who whines and complains. I almost always leave really great reviews, but the substance that you are mopping is extremely strong. I imagine that on the back of the bottle, it probably tells you to use only this fou product in a well ventilated area. I mean it is strong and unpleasant and makes people cough. The people behind us were commenting on it. I know that you want your restaurant clean, but we were there, as I said, an hour before closing. And if this were a fluke and the only time I'd ever seen it happen, I wouldn't have said anything. But four times in a row? Did the floor really have to be mopped right next to us while we're trying to eat? The food didn't even taste good to me this time. Our waitress was literally right next to our table - here are photos to show you. We can't come back. It's not healthy to breathe in those fumes. And there is no way on Earth that a decent restaurant makes people smell that when they're trying to eat the food. The smell of the mopping liquid is stronger than the taste of the food. and that sucks. We were one of two tables that were filled, and I guarantee you, if you cut out this mopping nonsense, you'll have more customers on a Saturday night. Please do something about this. It is completely thoughtless, selfish, and in poor judgment to have your waitresses mopping while we're trying to eat.The visual going on there is not very pleasant to the eating experience, and as I keep saying, the smell is overwhelming. my clothes still smell of it. I can't even believe that a restaurant would do this. it's like we're eating in a janitorial room. what the hell? Is this a restaurant? Or is this a floor cleaning place? when I saw the mob there again, we almost turned around and left, except that we had a friend with us who really wanted to try the food. he was coughing in the middle of the meal, too. We have been very loyal customers but not anymore! We're not going back. because we know we'll see a mop there, and will have to smell that again. here's also a photo of how much food I had to bring home because I couldn't stand sitting there for another second! My eyes were watering! I will not eat at a "restaurant" that is consciously making me breathe some nature of janitorial death. Plus, it's just trashy. I don't want to watch the floor being mopped while I'm trying to eat a meal. It ruins the environment, too, and the mood. To heck with this. Frankly, I've never been to a single restaurant that has the waitresses mopping the floor while we're trying to eat! Put your priorities in order. Lastly, we know how little waiters and waitresses earn and traditionally leave tips of 30, 40 or 50%. But not at your restaurant. We're not going to pay our waitress to gas us out of our meal by mopping within two feet...
Read moreToday is the last day I will be going to Madison's. I like this place but upon leaving I had a headache that could have been 100% avoided. When you walk in there are two sections one to the left and one to the right. When I walked in the lady pointed me to go to the left, where most people were sitting. Apparently they have reserved the right side For just the high school students. The left side was very crowded and had a party of about 12 women all grouped together, which were extremely loud. The acoustics in there are not good and it just made them sound even louder. I thought about leaving at that point, but I didn't hoping that things will get better. They did not. Bythe way, there were two students sitting on the students side, which was nice and quiet, and the rest was empty. Over an hour later, when I was leaving all of the high school students started to come in and automatically sit on the right side that was empty. I asked the waitress what was going on and she was very short with me and in the middle of our conversation just walked off. I can't come in somewhere to try and enjoy a meal and then leave with a headache. If the students are more important than me, then I just will not come back. She said they did this because they only had two servers that day and didn't want to be running all over the restaurant. Well, when all the students came in, they were still only two servers so her explanation made no sense. They know what time the majority of the students come over there to eat and they should've just let me sit in the quiet area, and I would not be leaving this bad review. And besides, I really do like Sunnyside diner much better! The service is great, the acoustics in there are much better and quite honestly their food is much better than Madison's. I would give Madisons a sub par on...
Read morePerhaps I have just had poor experiences here but my mother and I went, were sat upon arrival but didn’t get a waitress for 25 minutes and when my mom waved at her to see if she was our waitress she came to get our drink orders and she got snappy with us my mom apologized and said she wasn’t trying to rush just thought someone forgot us. Once our drinks weee brought out the water had brown flakes in it floating around. When she took our food order she was again snappy and had a horrible tone of voice. We chopped it up as maybe she was having a bad day since they were busy. I went back the next weekend with someone else to try again and got a different waitress who was fine but kept getting our order wrong after the 2nd time of our order being wrong we just ate what we got and while eating the biscuits and gravy there was a long gray hair in it. So after attempting this establishment twice I don’t think I’ll return. On the bright side, the food was good minus the hair ofcourse, it smelled very clean in there if you like the smell of strong chemicals and it was...
