After ordering 2 pizzas (at the cost of almost $30!) I received my confirmation email and even a link to track my pizza. Wow. My pizza's estimated delivery time was 35 - 45 minutes. So I'm waiting and waiting and finally decide to call the store to inquire about the food I've been waiting for as that limit had past. The "track your pizza" option even told me that they had begun making my food! The employee rudely told me they wouldn't be making my pizza nor would they deliver to my apartments! But carryout was no longer an option either. So I spent about an hour and a half waiting for food that was never coming or even being prepared and that i never was even going to get. They specifically told me they dont deliver to my complex after dark (my apartment is safe, non- ghetto, in a great neighborhood) but carryout after dark is also not an option. So why was I ever even allowed to place an order and waste my time? So much for this being a convenience! The employee even went as far as informing me, with a bad attitude, that he tried to call me. My phone was with me throughout this entire ordeal and no, they didn't call me. Screw papa johns. Make your own pizza with that $30 and...
Read moreI recently visited the Papa John’s on Rockwell, and while my experience was generally okay, there are a few things worth mentioning. The first thing I noticed is how small the location is—definitely more of a grab-and-go spot than a place to linger. It’s convenient for a quick pickup, but the size can make it feel a bit cramped when there’s a rush.
The cleanliness of the space could use some attention. While it wasn’t terrible, the floors and counters didn’t feel as spotless as I’d expect from a food establishment. A little more effort here would go a long way in making the experience more appealing.
As for the pizza, it was decent—not the best I’ve had, but still enjoyable. The crust was soft, and the toppings were fresh, though it didn’t have that standout flavor that makes you crave more.
The highlight of my visit was the staff. Everyone was kind and courteous, which made up for some of the shortcomings. They were quick to greet me, answered my questions, and made sure my order was correct.
Overall, if you’re in the area and craving pizza, this Papa John’s is worth a stop, but there’s definitely room for improvement in cleanliness...
Read moreI have just had my delivery order canceled due to a new policy that this store will no longer deliver to my address after dark because of a supposed "murder on my street." First of all, there are about 5 different streets with my street name between lane, boulevard, street, avenue, etc... Secondly, I live on a VERY quiet cul-de-sac where there has been no crime whatsoever. Thirdly, I have searched the news 9 website, the KFOR website, and done a Google search for every neighborhood name variation I could think of including the street name, Warr Acres, Northwest OKC, and Bethany and can find no evidence whatsoever of ANY violent crime being reported, let alone a murder. So my best guess is that they have made this decision based on a rumor or word of mouth. It's really no great loss other than the convenience of late night delivery as half the time the pizza has either been late, incorrect, missing items, cold, improperly cooked, and once raw and inedible. I guess since I've only gotten hot pizza half the time, it's only half a loss.
Follow up, I managed to find the crime in question. It occurred MARCH 2019, almost...
