A disgusting experience with a third world flare of filthy substandard living, inside of the business. At least that's the strong impression. Substandard, because this is one of those business that's cluelessly out of touch with nearly every other business surrounding it. Its obvious that ownership tries, but equally obvious that they just don't understand where they're at and what's expected. Great value for a typical American style Mediterranean fast food meal, prepared fairly well, which may explain the frequent take-out. Dirty furniture in plain view set up in the immediate rear of the restaurant complete with a separate dedicated television, that's obviously not intended for guest, which drowns out the guest television with the volume turned up, so as you watch the T.V. that's intended for guest, you may only hear their television. Odd decor with a series of strange historic figures lined up side by side along one wall. Funky. It's not clean, tidy or well maintained. No guest restroom apparent, & if there is, I can only imagine. Then there's the exterior disgust, with at least one decaying dilapidated minivan complete with two flat tires and a plethora of junk inside as if someone is living out of it. The razor and other hygiene items in the ground just outside of the rear side door are indicators. The trashed out car beside it, that may or may not be operable according to the appearance. The couches, behind the big trash dumpster, where the dumpster is supposed to be, appears that street people hang out there under the shade and shelter of the adjacent overgrown wild, and out of place, tree. Lots of trash all around this business in the parking lot. The patrons that I observed there seemed to be the sort that either didn't mind or didn't want to be seen there, departing as quickly as possible with their orders. It's just a sketchy business operated and owned by folks not from here, and at the least the sort who don't care about where they're at. It is what it is. Not good enough. Sad, disgusting careless and clueless. Thank God that we live in a country where freedom of speech is one main reason why we're the...
Read moreOne of my favorite things to do after eating at restaurants is giving an honest review. The minute I stepped foot into this cafe, I should have turned right around and walked out. I should have known better, but at the same time I did not want to judge a book by its cover. Here is my breakdown review.
First, when I walked in, the atmosphere was outdated and simply filthy. It’s like putting makeup on a pig.
Second, the gentleman behind the counter. This guy was chewing with his mouth open while I am ordering off the menu. By the way, the menu was less to be desired. I should have turned around and left…oh well, moving on. When I placed my order for a chicken gyro he tried to talk me out of it; why would you do that! The chicken in this gyro is frozen chicken strips cooked over a flat grill. The baklava was disgusting; it must have been frozen and then pulled out to thaw to serve. The baklava flakes were soft.
Third and final comment/s. The guy behind the counter made up the final price at the end, and when I asked how he got that total, he looked at me as if I insulted his whole family tree. The price was reduced. If you are desperate for substance, do yourself a favor and simply do better than me today and go somewhere different. I go out to eat to provide honest feedback for the general public. Just go on Google maps and look for other Greek...
Read moreToday I had a craving for something other than the typical fast food I grab on my hour lunch break. I Googled places close by my work and ran across this gem.The place was pretty packed at 12:15pm with only one booth open for dine-in patrons. There was a man behind the counter cooking and a woman taking orders. Seemed like they were they owners and a husband/wife team. Very nice quick service. Took about 15 minutes to get hot fresh food. The inside décor is pretty old school. Posters of Marilyn Monroe and John Wayne everywhere. Very 80's vibe. . But the food, THE FOOD!!!!! I ordered a philly cheese steak gyro meal and added olives. It came to $8 even. It came with seasoned crinkle fries and a 16 oz. soda. The fries were the typical store bought frozen variety, deep fried, with a sprinkle of seasoned salt. Not overcooked, but just okay. The gyro meat was seasoned to PERFECTION!!! I cant get over how much meat they stuffed the fresh pita bread with. It was enough for me to have leftovers TWICE! I would definitely recommend this place and I will most...
