I have been eating here for a while but am finally leaving a full review because I just learned a new menu item I love, the Tokyo Go (a box of warm rice and teriyaki pulled chicken with cabbage, carrots, and edamame), is a temporary experimental item. I am writing this full detailed review in the hope that somehow this review is seen and helps the Tokyo Go (and the rest of the whole grain bowl series) become a permanent menu item.
Salad and Go is a spot perfect for gym bros, hippies, people who actually listen to what their dieticians tell them, etc. The great part is none of those people will ever meet and interact with each other, Salad and Go is drive through only. Personally I love this decision as it means their prices are much lower than competition who have to price the cost of running a lobby, providing bathrooms, etc. into their product. Salad and Go is also FAST, there are two lanes in the drive through. You pull into the shortest line and order. I've never been in the drive through process for more than 5 minutes.
I've worked for restaurants before where we sold "salad", those salads may have been "salad", but the salads at Salad and Go easily put all other salads I've ever had from restaurants and takeout places into the grave as there is no reason you would ever eat one over a Salad and Go salad. I've honestly never seen vegetables so fresh, you could convince me they have some deep underground farm below the store and just harvest and cut the vegetables when you order them.
I eat here multiple times a week, my order usually costs around 12 dollars and comes with a filling meal and an iced coffee. The coffee is of great quality and 2.25 which is part of the reason I keep coming back. It is adjacent to a star bucks and to get a similar sized black iced coffee is well above 3$. During periods where I am intensely monitoring my macronutrient/caloric intake, I would literally eat salad and go at least 5 times a week. Which circles back around to why I am writing this review:
I love salad and Go but I can only eat salad so many times in a week, adding a new healthy menu option that is not salad is even more incentive to pull up to the drive through on my way to or home from work. I find it hard to imagine that I would be the only one who would spend more money more consistently at Salad and Go if the Whole Grain Bowl series of menu items were to become...
Read morei wish i could give this place the 400 stars they so rightfully deserve. me and my little sister have been wanting salad and go for almost a whole week. with our colliding schedules it seems we could never make it in time before they closed. we had just left dutch bros at 8:51 and were hungry. i asked her if she thought we could make it before nine and she said it’s worth a try. we made it to the salad and go location at 8:57. we’re both food service industry/ past food service industry workers and felt terrible for being there so late. all of our worries and cares disappeared when we were greeted at the salad and go answering box. we couldn’t believe it, we had made it this far and the kind employees still took our order at 8:57. we had never been happier. i’m writing this now as i eat my bbq ranch with their most astounding kalamata olives salad, and my sister enjoys her build your own salad salad. salad and go has never been short on quality, friendly service, or acute punctuality. my only grievance is they do not accept tips. we want to express our gratitude as times have been hard, and salad and go has been the only bright consistent light recently. i do not recommend going as late as us, you will receive the same wonderful nay, magnificent service at any time of their operating hours. Hannah will never know the impact she made on our lives by answering that call box on Sunday June 23rd 2024, 8:57 pm. god bless these salad and fresh produce angels. i recommend the bbq ranch salad with...
Read moreI'm kicking myself for driving past this place for the past six months!! I've been craving really good salads lately, you know, the kind that have special, unique type toppings. Well, I decided to finally try this place and WOW it is sooo GOOD!! One of the drawbacks was the pics people were posting. The salad looked small because all I could see was a top-down view, but the bowl you get is very deep. So to my surprise I was surprised how big and heavy my salad was when I got it. Everything was very fresh, the greens were vibrant and fresh. I just can't say enough good things about this place. Oh yeah, they serve probably the best breakfast burrito around. I think it's called the "Original Burrito" or something along those lines, but it comes with those breakfast potatoes along with everything else, so good! Seriously, you can't beat this place right now especially when considering how much you get and how relatively little you pay. 5 STARS all the way, I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. ...
