We went in today at 11:15. There was only a total of 3 tables during our visit with 2 waitresses. Our drink order was taken by one girl and delivered by the same girl then another lady took our order. We ordered an appetizer and 2 dinners. The lady that delivered our drinks brought us our appetizer and walked away. We had no silverware or napkins. Finally the lady I believe to be our actual waitress comes by and I ask for forks. She says sure then walks away. Not returning with our forks until she brings us our dinners so now we finally have forks to eat . At that time I ask for tartar sauce and cocktail sauce since we have ordered fish and shrimp. Once again she walks off and starts talking to a guy up front and then walks to the back and then back to the front counter and after almost 10 minutes I walk up front and ask again for the sauces at which she says oh I forgot. So she finally brings them to the table and we get to eat. The food was great I don’t have any bad reviews about the food. Once we are half way through our food I run out of my drink so I take my lid off and move my cup to the edge of the table and as she has not checked on us since she brought us our food hopefully she will notice my cup well that didn’t work either instead I decide to try and flag her down and as I’m trying to get her attention she sits down in the main dining room and takes off her shoe straightens her sock then puts her shoe back on and gets up and goes to the front counter to visit with the other waitress without washing her hands and that was my last straw. I flagged down the other girl and ask for a to go box and we left. I am not one to be upset about service cuz I understand things get busy in restaurants but I will remind u there was only 3 tables and 2 waitresses the whole time we were there. The food was great but the service was horrible which unfortunately has left a bad taste in my mouth about returning or recommending the...
Read moreFirst of all, the name “Sami’s Southern Kitchen and More.” It is in no way associated with the Sam’s Southern Eatery that you may have seen in the Tulsa area. Sam’s Southern Eatery is a large chain with restaurants scattered across ten or more states. They had a restaurant in Broken Arrow. I never tried it. Apparently not very good; they closed. Sami’s Southern Kitchen and More, only has two locations right now, Sapulpa and Saint Peters, MO. It is a small company. With food this good I predict that it will grow. Their menu is large, covering most all essential southern foods: BBQ, chicken and seafood. Every time we have driven by at lunch hour the parking lot has been packed. Jim L.’s review and recommendation for the grilled shrimp got my attention. My wife had the 6 fried jumbo shrimp with the red beans and rice as the side. These were indeed large sized shrimp, with a crispy golden-brown coating. The beans and rice were amazing. Smokey tender beans floating on seasoned rice. They were so good I ordered a pint to take home. I ordered the 12 grilled shrimp meal. Fresh shrimp well coated in a blend of spicey Cajun seasoning and grilled with butter. Fantastic! Along with it hush puppies and creamy fresh Cole slaw. Finally, I have found my Cajun / southern food restaurant. This was a restaurant that leaves you thinking about how good the food was as you drive back home. Great friendly service. A large...
Read moreIf you haven’t tried Sami’s Southern Kitchen & More yet, well why not? Yes it looks like and tastes like what we have seen up on the hill but this Sami’s has so much more. I didn’t find the new lunch menu on the website but happened to drive by and it caught my eye on the $9.99 lunch Speacials. Sami’s has several items to choose from on their lunch menu. My guest and I ordered the lunch specials, I got the 6 jumbo shrimp with one side of fries and my guest got the 1 fish, 1 chicken and 2 shrimp with one side of fries. Both were $9.99 and $2.49 for the drink for a grand total of $28 taxes. You can get it fried or grilled and his offerings at this location is far more than what we used to seeing. I wish I had taken a shot of the lunch menu but you’ll have to go check it out yourself. The man himself brought out a sampling of his gumbo, it’s a little to warm for me to eat gumbo but it was tasty and it’s on the lunch menu too. Highly recommend Sami’s Southern...
