Outrigger Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Okoboji

Wow still I have taste in my mouth food was so tasty. I will start with before I decided to go to Outrigger restaurant normally I read reviews that wasn’t very helpful,which I can say from my personal experience. A lot of people was complaining about look of restaurant for me it is authentic and I like it. Food we started with appetizer which was pita bread with artichoke spinach dip my family love it. Main dish was scallops pasta, chicken Alfredo, pasta, and ribeyes. We was so happy when we tasted our food,who prepared our food is magician. Scallops in my pasta was prepared with a lot of love this pasta for sure is taking first place in USA with how tasty it is. All food was prepared great but for sure scallops pasta is my favorite ,people who preparing food doing great job!! Service was really nice,polite and friendly. Restaurant have parking lot I do recommend reservation. Everything was good,service is excellent food is great!Totally...

So from reading the reviews it seems like this place is in the process of a turnaround. We were happy with the atmosphere the lighting was dim the music was Sinatra and it was easy to have a conversation so that was positive but The booth that we sat in was quite worn and the bathrooms were very tiny and Ill configured so there are maybe still some issues that need to be addressed. The food we had was good she had the walleye and I had a salad both were satisfactory. The Manhattan that I was drinking was appropriately Blended still a little on the small side. I will say that we arrived at about 5:50 and were able to get a table immediately but by 6:15 the place was full and there was a line waiting so arrive early. Also the dress code is quite casual and most of the clientele is over 50 years of age. Not passing judgement just stating what we saw....

Food is excellent. Waitstaff kind.

Lengthy wait for food from the kitchen as they were slammed. But they did not skimp on quality and all came out hot and together and very tasty all around. Don't bother with the side salad though... Very basic iceberg mix. Lots of other better options.

Don't get fancy with bar requests. Enjoy typical beer/wine/well drinks and you'll be fine. Not a cocktail bar even though it looks super nice and could be.

Walking in will feel strange, as you pass through a strip mall hallway to get to the doors of the place. But all will be good when you step inside the restaurant.

Note... Cell service is all but non-existent inside for some reason (T-Mo). Not a bad thing, it happens, just a heads-up that you'll need to step outside if you need to...
