Food, drinks and atmosphere are awesome. Service and service recovery sucked, at least tonight. Ordered drinks, 2 appetizers and 4 kids meals at the first chance we got because they were super busy, as expected for this time of year. My mother and I ordered our food the next chance our waitress checked on us, probably 10 minutes or so. Again, atmosphere and food/drinks so far were great. All 4 kids got their food, appetizers came and things were wonderful. Then we were made to wait an hour and a half for 1 pulled pork sandwich with fries and 1 bowl of French onion soup. By the time my and my mother's food arrived, all 4 kids had long finished their food and were ready to leave and running around the deck and causing a disturbance to other diners (7 and 8 year old boys). I didn't feel we had time to eat our food and was just ready to leave at this point. We also had multiple groups of people ask us to leave so they could have our table. Also, we had already boxed up our kids' leftovers because other servers/busboys thought we were done. When we finally received our food, I told our waitress we needed it to go. In retrospect, I wasn't very happy as I was pretty stressed and probably came off quite rude, and for that I would apologize; however, when she came back with more boxes, I told her she could keep my food and I didn't want to be charged for it, i just wanted to go. I was referring only to the pulled pork sandwich, not the entire table. I don't usually raise a stink but I felt that our food was simple and the wait was excessive, even with as busy as they were. I'm fine waiting for good food, but a pulled pork sandwich and a bowel of soup shouldnt ever take 90 minutes! She argued with me, I said whatever, paid the entire bill and did not leave a tip. Again, not my finest moment in retrospect, but having worked in service recovery myself, she did not even attempt to understand why I was so frustrated. Bad experience, not a bad...

If we could rate this less than a 1 star, I would. Drinks were absolutely horrible and the service from the server and the "manager" was absolutely terrible. Not only was the manager very rude, she treated us as if we were not welcome. 4 people in our party ordered mules and/or margaritas and when they were so terrible that we refused to drink them, she rudely came to our table and said she 'would NOT remove them from our bill because it says right in the menu what is in them". We did inform her that as that is true, that's not the issue. The issue was that they were terrible and taste like straight sweet nd sour mix. After we were stern that we would not drink the beverage and it isn't right we pay for something that was their mistake, she very rudely said she would remove them but it would never happen again. Our server never offered to have the drinks remade or anything nor did the manager until we argued our case that it wasnt right. After that, our server NOT ONCE checked on us to see how things were or if we needed anything else.

Food: Any fryer food we ordered was extremely over cooked or majorly undercooked, no happy medium. Add ons are 1$. A member of our party got onions, 2.5 rings of a small onion for 1$? Insane!

Thank the heavens the atmosphere from other customers was great because we waited an hr nd a half for our food.

Don't worry, we won't be back or will we ever recommend...

We were a party of 4 on this Thursday evening. We got a table right away. But sat for 20 minutes before anyone took our drink order. Another 20 before 3 of the 4 drinks came. We ordered at that time. It was an hour after that before the first two meals came out (a flat bread and a pizza, the pizza was a wrong order). It was over a half hour after thaf before the wrong order came back out. The other 2 still hadn't gotten their food. We are on hour 2 of sitting here with our first drinks and only 2 with food. Atmosphere is okay if you arent hungry or frustrated.

Edit...2 and a half hours and still nothing. 2 people have not gotten their food. We have not been checked on or offered drinks from our first ask.

Tables who came in an hour and a half after us got their food as we were still waiting for 2 of ours. Asked for it to come in a box with the ticket at 2 hours and 45 minutes in.

Edit 2...close to the 3 hour mark i asked to speak to a manager. Supposedly it was the guy behind the bar. He was too busy to deal with it at that time. Trying to get the food we had not received taken off of our bill was absolutely ridiculous. He never had time to speak with us. I understood it was our server's first day but for a manager to blatantly disregard us was beyond embarrassing for that...

Decent prices on food and drinks. I had the pulled pork nachos and a margarita, both very good. We came on a Saturday in May around 4 and sat outside. Took about 10 minutes to get a menu. No drink menu was offered (apparently they only show you what they can make in the summer?) My friend ordered a bloody Mary and was given just the drink no "toppings" while others seated next to us were. Tables are very close together which makes navigating not only hard for customers but also staff. Nice that there are docks for boaters to grab a bite. Parking lot was absolutely packed Saturday evening and all of Sunday. Not sure if they take reservations but might be worth looking into if you're coming during peak season.

The Ritz... what a Gem! I put in a few hard miles every Season chasing the Fish, Folks & Places that make up the Pro Musky Tournament Trail... and LOVE doing it, especially when you stumble upon what I like to call "Trail Magic"... The Ritz on Lake Okojobi is one of those places my friends! A long historic 'Local Favorite', this 'On Water' Hot Spot has the area's Top Ranked BLOODY MARY BAR.. Home for one of Iowa's Top Burgers... the Leu's Burger.. Absolutely delicious! Sports, Great Folks and one of the very best bar/waitstaff Crews you are likely to find in a fastpaced, high volume Sports Bar/Eatery... these folks "Rocked It" and have been "MUSKY CLAN TESTED-MUSKY CLAN APPROVED 🤩

Had lunch at the Ritz on this particular visit. Sat outside, lakeside, and enjoyed the view of East Okoboji. We ordered their Rueben sandwich with a side of sweet potato wedge fries. Also ordered a chicken wrap with coleslaw. The portion sizes were plentiful. The Reuben was okay but I thought the corner beef was overcooked and rye bread toasted more than I like. The sweet potato wedge fries were fairly bland and mushy. They restaurant was very busy and our server wasn't as attentive as in other visits. She forgot that we reqested additional condiments. All in all it was a fair meal at a fair price.
