SmackHaus — Restaurant in Okoboji

We stayed across the street at the Arrowwood and kept seeing this little Brisith-themed restaurant, so we decided to try it out.

I didn't catch the girl's name, but she was a great help in recommending meals for my wife and I. I got the chick thigh sandwich, which was delicious and crunchy. My wife got the fish-and-chips. The cod itself was delicious, though the breading was slightly doughy. Our kids enjoyed their meals as well.

Quick food, and so tasty. The sandwich I got was supurb (sorry I can't remember what I got, but I remember thoroughly enjoying it) and the French fries are out of this world good. I enjoy a crispy fry with some texture and flavor and these guys know how to get it just right. Alcohol is available for purchase from a can or bottle, but selection is limited. The spicy chicken thigh sandwich is fantastic. The thing is so big it could realistically fit across two sandwiches. The kick is spot on - not overwhelming but not so weak that it adds little to nothing to the flavor. The fries didn’t strike me as a stand-out item but they also sell a pretty decent burger.
