This used to be a 5 star review. I lowered it because I didn't get what I ordered and no one would answer the phone. Third time we order from Tea Gardens throughUber eats. The wrong food was delivered. I ordered tofu with veggies side of noodles. I got chicken lo mein???? When I tried to call them they didn't answer the phone. Does this look like tofu.

Clean, well-kept restaurant, good food at very reasonable prices, and the service was fantastic. The woman who greeted and waited on us was a ray of sunshine that made us feel like family the moment we walked through the door. My husband and I were very happy with our experience and plan on visiting again the next time we're in the area.

By far some of the best Chinese food in Johnson county. It’s pretty tough to find a Chinese restaurant that uses white meat and this place does! Called in a to-go order for General Tso chicken and it was ready in 5 minutes. Taste, portions, and service was great. Will definitely be back to try some other dishes! Highly recommended.

Keep trying and keep getting disappointed. Some of the sauces, like general tso, sesame, and orange taste more like ketchup than authentic Chinese sauces. I tried increasing the spiciness to medium on my general tso's chicken the last time but it just tasted like spicy ketchup and to make things worse, I was sick for four days while it slowly worked through my digestive system. It could have been the old tasting fried wantons that came with my soup? I ate only a few before tossing in the trash. The crab Rangoon seemed fresh but had only a scarce hint of fake crab in it and was sweet rather than savory so I couldn't finish those either. The staff always say 5 minutes for the call in order to be ready and I show up in 10 but end up waiting at least 5-10 minutes more so I know not to show up for at least 15 minutes no matter what she says. I liked this place for good prices, convenient location, fresh made food, pleasant staff, but the food just isn't quite right for me so I can't anymore. A lot of posters really like it so maybe my experiences were one offs or I've become too picky? I did have an excellent side of vegetables from there once. Fresh, quality, cooked nicely. Hopefully you have a...

After a wrong carryout order several years ago, I stopped coming here. Then my usual Chinese place closed down. Since I live so close, I thought I would give them another shot. The online ordering can get finicky. For example, if you choose a combo instead of a lunch then you have to write in type of rice and can't pick something that changes the price. But if you order the lunch, you don't get the spring roll but have the $2 lo mein side option? It's something like that. However, if you can navigate the site ok, unlike soooooo many other places, there's no online ordering convenience fee! So awesome! Ok and now the food. It's still great. I think where they shine is the sauces. The sweet and sour sauce is NOT that nuclear waste neon pink at many other places. It's the color it's supposed to be. It tastes very nice. I tried something else a while back and the sauce was fantastic. I'm going to try other things some day if I can ever get over my Tea Garden sweet and sour addiction. Their fried rice and lo mein is ok. Nothing exciting. They have good fried dumplings and the dumpling sauce is fantastic. Customer service is always great. Super...

Food is always good, always fresh. My husband ordered the Black pepper beef & shrimp and a cup of miso soup. He was not a big fan of the miso (it was "bland" to him). He loved the Beef and Shrimp, ate every bite in one sitting which rarely happens. I always get the sweet and sour chicken. Most places tend to overcook the chicken leaving it dry and chewy but The Tea Garden seems to have the timing down with the chicken, peppers, carrots and pineapple. The chicken still has the texture of chicken and the veggies and pineapple still have that little crunch I love. We also ordered the jalapeno poppers for the first time... The cream cheese filling was a little sweeter than I expected but it worked. These are not deep fried. They are a half jalapeno pepper stuffed with their cream cheese mixture, topped with a crumb topping and I assume baked. The peppers themselves were done just right. Thought about 4 stars for service because they did forget one of our orders of fried rice but my husband said they were really busy and appeared shorthanded...it happens. If it happens again then I might update. As of today, I would...
