Carlo's Gourmet Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Old Bridge Township

Me and my kids moved to Matawan about four years ago. We discovered Carlos‘s pizza the first week we were here. The pizza there is fantastic. I am from New York, so I know good pizza. The specialty slices are incredible. The rolls, the entrées, the fried calamari…all delicious. They are not over priced and serve you with a smile. My son and my daughter are regular customers in this pizzeria. They go there after school, on the weekends, and sometimes we just all sit there, have some dinner and catch up on the week. The customer service is amazing . The owners and the staff ask my kids how they are doing in school, how work is…they are just so personable, They have become more like friends to my family. Love this place....

Nice pizzeria in Matawan. We like to come here with girls on Fridays for their Friday pizza (if not mistaken, it's called Grandma's pizza). Yesterday, I tried their white pizza. I loved both :white and Grandma's pizzas. My friend ordered Artichoke Pizza, and she said it was normal, and she has tried better in Staten Island. The same friend likes their spicy mussels. The girl who is always there very nice and welcoming. Prices are affordable. There are several tables inside and 3 outside for dining in. I like that this restaurant serves metal utensils and reusable plates. They plastics too for those who prefer those. I will be coming back. Parking is free in the Plaza parking...

Carlo's Pizza is a great affordable spot for pizza or Italian dishes. I've gotten their pizza, garlic knots and chicken Parm. All were great and I would say far more affordable then the other many pizza places in Aberdeen/Matawan. I have been struggling financially in the current economy so it is nice to have something more affordable. My only reservation is timing is a bit off. 2 out of 3 of my visits I did have to wait a few minutes even if I gave more than the allotted 15 minutes requested in the app. I don't mind waiting but it is in the back of my mind that it'll take a bit. Food and pricing is worth it though. Will...
