This place is tucked in a odd strip mall so don't be fooled.
I didn't want to take-out because I wanted to experience the whole shebang. I walked in and the place was dead... I mean empty. It was a little weird. But I walked up to the counter and ordered my food... maybe I should have sat down first? I don't know. No one greeted me until I got to the counter. I don't know very much about Indian food and she asked what I wanted right away. I have no idea what any of this, I told her. So she suggested an appetizer while I looked at the rest and asked what it was. So I settled for the veggie samosas. I know I also like chicken tikka masala so I ordered that with some garlic naan bread to be safe. I sat down at one of the tables and waited for my food. Once my food came out, I was in heaven. It looked delicious and I couldn't wait to chow down. The veggie samosas came with two sauces, a sweet and a hot "green" sauce. I don't know what that is, but it was great mixed with the sweet sauce. Then on to the chicken tikka masala. I got it with medium spice because I don't know how their spice chart works. It was the perfect amount of spice for me and the sauce was rich with flavor. I draped it over some rice and got to business. It was so delicious that I dipped my naan bread into the masala sauce.
I will add that not one customer came in, in the time span that I was there. I was the only one. It was a little weird but I will definitely be coming back to this place. If it's just myself, I will be ordering takeout. I don't want to sit...
Read moreWe have been getting takeout here since we moved to the area a little over 2 years ago. It was recommended to us by an Indian friend who goes here so we felt it would be authentic if she likes it. There is a small eat-in area if you'd like, small but nicer than a standard Chinese Food takeout type of place. The food is top notch here though, we are never disappointed. It does take time on the weekend, but they are very busy and good food is worth the wait, so just order ahead of time. Portions are large and the people who run Royal Curry are super nice, which matters. Our favorites are any of the Biryani and the Aloo Tikki. Also worth a mention is they are great at making food "mild" vs spicy. I love Indian food but not overly spicy foods; it's never too spicy here when I ask for food to be mild. If you are disappointed here then you will be very...
Read moreI had ordered their Lamb Korma on June 21. Now it was a favorite dish and didn’t think anything would happen. Now that I feel better, I can leave a review.
I had such a horrible food poisoning experience from this order. Now mind you, it didn’t taste weird. Later on, I had gotten real bad pains and the whole meal had come up. I hate to be TMI but the other end as well. I never knew food could go through and practically skip the digestion process. That’s how bad it was! It went on throughout the night into the next day of yacking and running to the bathroom. The days that followed were very bad cramps and nausea. My appetite is just coming back now thankfully but that experience worried the hell out of me. Please be mindful of how well the food is cooked as well as freshness. No one wants to toss up let alone lose a...
