I have been stopping at the Dunkin Donuts at 343 Rt 34 (Park Plaza Mall) Matawan, NJ 07747 for well over a year now and spending a good amount of money there. It's next to my home and I also pass it every day on my way to work. But now I can't even stand to look in their direction every day as I pass this Dunin Donuts and go to Star Bucks instead.... For over 8 months one of the employees was very nasty to me, insisting that I pay for a few ice cubes. I mean really...? Trying to charge me an additional couple dollars on top of my daily order for a few ice cubes... I explained (Repeatedly), the coffee is way too hot and I do not want to burn my mouth. But this employee did not care and kept pushing every morning for approx 8 months. Then after that period, it went to just order it at the drive thru speaker and not the window... When I did that, this employee would try and sneak in a charge for a cup of ice... So I started including a request for a receipt with order at window. Then the manager, who stated very clearly to me several times that employee was her friend, made things very difficult for me... She insisted talking over me, in a nasty tone, every time I placed an order. Then I started asking for my senior discount. Well that opened up another can of worms.... One of the last times I was there, I requested my senior discount. The nasty employee chose to ignore me, and tried pushing me along at the drive thru. I looked at the receipt and said "Miss, you forgot the senior discount..." She was very nasty and tried pushing blame on me and saying I didn't mention it even thou I clearly did. I went there a few more times after this incident and her manager friend kept talking over me while I was placing the order, for me to say "senior discount" after I just did, as if to continue pushing blame on me. I then went inside and asked manager for the customer service number and she refused to give it to me.... So disgusted...
Read moreI work couple miles here as a night-shift system administrator. Because I work at night, having a 24 7 open dunkin donuts was a real joy, until I came to this location.
Yesterday I asked for an everything-bagel with butter. The butter was dripping everywhere. Thought the guy in the teller, presumably of Indian descent, was in bad mood so I said ok it could happen and let it slide. I again decided to try today and oh boy did i get angry. This time I opened the bagel to examine and only half of it had butter; the other completely dry. Let alone the bagel itself was squished as if someone sat on it. When I asked him to put extra butter which i paid for, he gets pissed and puts a ton of butter. I open it, disappointed ask him, (the tall indian guy) would you eat this? Honestly? He says you asked for extra butter, as if doing it out of spite. I said take it, he said why, I said I dont want the money, you can keep the money. Before I left he poured the 2 coffee holders out of the drive thru window I was still there as if taking his anger on me when i should be the one thats angry. How hard is it to make a goddamn bagel with butter? How hard is it to be nice to your customers? I DIDNT ask for extra butter as a favor. I paid for it only to return it back after you literally cursing at my face putting an entire box full of butter in there. I would not wish anyone to go to this dunkin donuts not even my worst enemy.
To managers: For the past two days, I have experienced such rude treatment from one of your tellers that I refuse to tolerate it any longer. Each time I try to make a transaction through him, he acts as though I were an annoyance.
I trust that you will speak to him about polite customer service. If he continues to have this attitude, I will make sure to pursue this to exercise the limits of my right as a customer, not to mention the 4 dollars you owe. Customers are not an annoyance; we are the ones who...
Read moreI’m really disappointed, and I almost never leave bad reviews—but for nearly $6, I expect to get a full drink, not take three sips and already be halfway through! It’s disheartening to have this experience. What made it even more frustrating was when I politely asked a staff member to remove the ice, only to be told that without it, the drink would look like a much smaller quantity. I even offered to pay for a refill to make up for the difference, but instead of a fair solution, I was only given the option to pay for oat milk—just one-third of the ingredients! I really wanted to love this place, but this kind of practice feels unfair to loyal customers. I hope management considers making adjustments to ensure guests get their...
