Asian House — Restaurant in Old Orchard Beach

I was very excited for this place to open and was even more excited when hearing that they offer boba tea! Pretty good considering that the next closest boba place is 20-25 minutes away in Portland.

When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised at the interior as it was nicer than when I came to visit Shelly’s (another food shop prior to this one). Inside is very quaint and cleanly. Ordering took a little long, but I understand that English is not their first language. The cashier made sure that he put in the right orders and was very sweet. Their service is kind, friendly, and caring; they definitely try to understand you to the best of their abilities. I have yet to speak with them over the phone, but I always prefer talking to businesses in person anyway. I ordered their pho beef, tiger brown sugar boba tea, and butterfly tea lemonade. Their food isn’t spectacular, but it tasted pretty decent. Not my favorite place to get Asian food, but not my least favorite either. Decent food. However, their drinks are phenomenal! Love their tapioca pearls in the drinks, teas taste good, the butterfly tea lemonade was unique and also tasted really good. I will be visiting this place frequently for their boba teas. Got take out for dinner last night. Literally could not stop eating! woke up craving more and now that its almost noon the next day, literally all I've thought about. Hands down one of the best dinners I've had in a long time! I'm not normally a big crab Rangoon fan, but i must say. The best I've ever had and the clear sauce it comes with (which i have no idea what it is) is pretty amazing! We were kind of fighting over it 😂. Beef teriyaki was perfectly tender, seasoned, and cooked with the perfect little char to it and no fat (which we loved). I'm a huge fan of Basil fried rice and wonton soup, it was fantastic! Loved the garlic touch to the soup. He got the pad tai and sweet and sour soup that he devoured! Last, you get to choose your level of spicy 1-5 which adds the perfect touch to make it how you'd personally like.

We ordered a lot of food today after breaking my foot and needing a cast that took a 2 hour visit. I ordered online and put very special instructions in for absolutely no spice in the orange chicken. When I called them on the phone to reassure there would be no spice they said yes I asked how much extra Duck Sauce would be and from what I could understand she said nothing and asked me if I wanted extra duck sauce and I said yes. My best friend gets the food home and there are two small 1/2 filled plastic condiment containers filled with some thing that was not Duck Sauce very vinegary. I called and told them I had asked for extra duck sauce no one there could really understand what I was trying to let let them know.. I finally got through to somebody that understood and they said they don’t carry duck sauce. Then tell me that when I order. My friend opened her orange chicken, full of red pepper flakes.
