My dad and I come from West Hartford. Just to visit Johnny ADS. They are absolutely the best food period period If Something happens and you're not a 100% happy. The owner and the staff takes a very, very strong interest in you to make sure the next time you are taking care of well ...very well.!!!!!!! My dad and I went down today for Father's Da. Now keep in mind.My dad can go anywhere he wants to.And there's a lot of restaurants in the Hartford area. He chose and I chose to drive an hour to go to johnny ads. For all you people that have not visited johnny ads.... You are truly missing something they have a wonderful menu. The food is the freshest.. And cooked perfectly. You can't be disappointed. I could be here all day. Writing all the positive things that I experience every time I go there. Do yourself a favor and go there for either lunch or dinner? I promise you will not Be sorry I repeit you will not be sorry in once again if for any reason, you're not a 100% happy. The staff will make sure you are in a Way, that no one Else in the restaurant business does.... If I could give Johnny ADS a 10t star I would. Thank you very much for...

So you want a great meal, you are already out and wearing just a T-shirt and shorts. No problem Johnny Ad's is the place to go. Don't let the fact that this place is housed in a double-wide trailer or that your food is served up on a paper plate with plastic utensils keep you away. The home made clam chowder at first glance looked to be a bit watered down but the taste was great. The potatoes were tender but not mush and the clams used in the chowder did not have any of the gritty texture you find some places. The fried with the fish and chips were large and crisp. I personally am not much for cole slaw but theirs had a very good mild flavor that did not assault my taste buds with brute force. There was no hassle is getting extra lemon wedges for my fish (I don't much care for tartar sauce) . The plate also came with a bread roll (store bought I believe) and some butter. Only one small complaint the roll was not warmed but then I also did not ask if it could have been warmed up maybe they would have. The prices also are not on the high side either for some great...

Disappointed. Saw a pic of their seafood online and it looked good and was piled high so decided to give it a try. That wasn't my experience. Paid $40 for their fried seafood platter and it was definitely not worth it. See photo and judge for yourself. 1 flounder filet, 2 shrimp, maybe 5 little bay scallops, and and about the same amount of small whole belly clams. The menu on the board actually showed clam strips (online showed whole belly). I wanted strips and the order taker confirmed it came with strips but it did not. Maybe would've been halfway acceptable if everything was top notch but it was not. The fish (flounder) was very fishy. The whole belly not great. The fries tasted like frozen fries. The shrimp and scallops actually tasted good but so not worth it with the small amount. Do yourself a favor and go to Bill's down the street. $35 for their platter and it's loaded and...

Great seafood joint! I got a (cold) lobster roll and a side of onion rings. One of the best lobstah rolls I've had in recent memory. Onion rings were excellent. My gf got the fish and chips. Hands down best fish of a fish and chips dish I've ever tried. Chips part could have been better. My measuring stick is fish and chips I had in England a few years ago. Better fish at Johnny's, better chips in England. Would have gotten a 5 if not for the messy picnic tables outside. Do a better job at cleaning them/wiping them down. No one likes eating on top of someone else's greasy drippings and bugs they smashed into the table tops. TL;DR: 5 food 3 cleanliness 4 overall

I placed a take out order for Johnny Ads, hadnt had them in along time. I got a sm. Order of the lg gulf fried shrimp and a sm. Order of fried scallops well the shrimp were ok only got 6 for $18.00 not sure if thats the going rate but i was very disappointed with the scallops they were way over cooked AND CUT IN HALF!! And the PRICE WAS $22.55 for just those no fries, coleslaw nothing!! I definitely think thats ALOT for those! I personally wont be going back. So many people say they have such good seafood and im like what?? I dont see it! Have had wayyy better! Just my opinion of course
