A hidden gem. A truly delightful dining experience. I tried the Paneer Tikka Masala, Sambar, Naan and Kheer. I was also served papadum and chutneys (yum). While each dish was tasty and plentiful, the Sambar was just incredible - a thick stew, rich with vegetables, lentils and coconut. My server, Lohith, provided superb service - he was attentive, friendly and professional. He made a simple lunch feel like a special occasion. The host (owner?) was also warm, welcoming, and explained menu items. The atmosphere and decor were tasteful and inviting (fresh flowers on the tables). I look forward to returning.

While traveling from New York to Rhode Island, we stopped at The Curry Queen for a quick lunch—and what an incredible find! The restaurant has ample parking and a charming, decorative interior that adds to the experience. We ordered Chicken Korma and ghee-topped wheat chapatis. The chapatis were soft and perfectly made, while the Chicken Korma was bursting with flavor. We asked for medium spice, and it was just right—rich, aromatic, and satisfying. A delightful stopover that we’ll definitely remember!

We stopped here on a rainy morning and had Masala Chai and Veg Pakora! While this is a known best combo for rain, this restaurant had made it even better with their excellent preparation. Masala Chai was made of full cream milk and spicy enough, served hot and was top notch! The pakora seemed fresh unlike a frozen one thawed per order. Definitely planning to stop another time for lunch. I would rate the atmosphere as lower because the lights were very dull and not appealing.

Was a big fan of Curry Queen and returned there after being away with anticipation of a great meal. What a disappointment!

The Chicken Tikka masala tasted like it was made with lamb. Very dark meat. When I inquired with the waiter, the owner appeared at the table and told me it is always made with chicken thighs. I know for a fact I have NEVER eaten it there or anywhere when it wasn't chicken breast. In fact, when I got home I found a picture on my phone of that dish from their opening day with white meat! Now, it is remotely possible that every other time I've ordered it I specified white meat, but I don't think so. But ok, maybe it was just an off night so we said just make us a new one and we will pay for it. The owner said she wasn't sure she had any chicken breast. Really???

Then, when the waiter brought the second try, he sloshed a little by accident on the table. The way she yelled at him in front of us was just terrible. Something is really off! Not the same relaxed fun place anymore. The sauce didn't taste at all like the same delicious sauce I remember, they didn't give us any more rice even though we were paying for a second entree, the nan was VERY different, like what you'd buy in Stop and Shop, and the lentils that we asked to be mild were super spicy. All that aside, what bothered me the most is how uncomfortable the owner made us feel. I've had that dish 10 times in the last year both in-house and take out, and it was never made with dark thigh meat. Yet, she insisted it is always made with dark meat. I'm sitting there telling her I can't get passed the flavor and texture of the greasy dark meat and she offered no compromise. It's easy to forgive an off night, or one bad meal, but when you gaslight the customer and make them feel bad for speaking up about the preparation, you lose the customer. Any other restaurant wouldn't charge someone for a dish they cannot eat. I used to love this place and see this all as a bad sign that they are struggling to stay open. The whole situation makes me sad and I won't...

Very bizarre experience!!! I had dinner with a friend on Friday. I had had lunch there the previous week and enjoyed it, so decided to go again. The waiter recognized me, thanked me for coming back. He was friendly and attentive. My friend and I were having a nice evening catching up and enjoying the food and wine we had ordered. Our waiter even brought over a carrot dish, asking if we would be willing to try it and review it, as they were considering adding it to the menu. After dinner, my friend wanted something sweet, so we ordered a dessert to share. Our waiter brought it to the table. Just behind him was the owner approaching our table. I smiled and started to tell her that we enjoyed our meal, but she interrupted and told us we needed to leave because her staff gets upset if they have to stay late; it was a little before 9pm. We ate a few bites of our dessert while we waited to pay our bill. After paying, I got up from the table and put on my coat. The owner approached us again telling us we had to leave and her staff is already late going to the train station. Although we enjoyed the food and our waiter did a good job, I certainly will not be returning. Maybe in the future, there could be better communication amongst the owner and staff. Rather than being asked if we wanted dessert, we could have been told that the staff needed to leave, so dessert would not be possible. We might have been disappointed, but we would...

Ordered our first takeout this past week and loved everything we had. We had the Butter Chicken, Vegetable Korma, and Palak Paneer, as well as sides of Vegetable Samosas and Garlic Naan.

The Palak Paneer was very good, but my favorites were the Veggie Korma and Butter Chicken. Both had the qualities I have come to expect from authentic Indian restaurants--the sauces were thick, buttery with ghee, very flavorfully spiced, and NOT sweet. I find way too many Indian restaurants in the area & US have sauces that are overly sweet, thin with no texture, and have very little of that buttery ghee goodness.

My only "complaint" was that the restaurant did not ask for a heat level. I know that butter chicken is meant to be fiery hot, but if these were "mild" I might have ordered "medium" heat to my preference.

Not a complaint but I should point out that they have several dishes under the lunch menu that aren't listed under dinner, so they can't be selected online, but are available if you call in. We had to call in for the korma, and I noticed that the Vindaloo, Paneer Tikka Masala are also listed under lunch, but not available under dinner.

I look forward to trying the rest...
