Ocean State Plaza — Local services in Old Saybrook

Well the Ocean State Job Lot is one of those stores that you do not want to go to unless you're prepared to do some shopping because you will probably buy a lot of things you don't need because of the unbelievable prices. Be mindful of your purchase because there are a lot of knockoffs out there and you are buying basically the throwaways from the bigger stores. I came in here to buy some steel wool I did not sign any however I walked out with 3 tubes of clear Caulking and a hooded sweatshirt as well as floor mats for my car. So I reiterate do not go in here for one item because you will not come out with just that when item LOL. OMG!!! This was my first visit to an Ocean State Store! It will not be my last! What an incredible treasure trove of everything and almost anything!!! Went for summer outdoor chaise lounge chairs...had exactly what I wanted. First quality at an absurdly reasonable price. I could have stayed and shopped for hours. There was an upscale food section that rivaled some of OS shops. Staff was beyond helpful and pleasant. Only small issue was the departments adjacencies were a little odd. Large parking area! We took our grandkids to the makeup store and Kohls. The stores were both clean and well stocked! The makeup store was wonderful for our granddaughter! Lots of fun to experience!
