Baviello Italian Deli — Restaurant in Old Tappan

The food is really good, but that is where it ends. The service and overall ordering experience is the worst. I work in the area and have been ordering from this deli for years and have had to deal with long waits, bad customer service, unapologetic poor service. Inspite of all of this, my co-workers and myself continue to order from this deli, which speaks to the quality of the food. Today, however, was the last time I will be ordering from here and I discourage others from doing so. I placed an order online through THEIR website and up on arriving at the deli I learned that they are closed today, despite THEIR website allowing you to place orders and their hours being listed on google for Sunday as open from 10am 3pm. My credit card was charged for the order and I had to reach out to the 3rd party vendor that they use for online orders to attempt to get the...

Food's great, people there Are great, but seven out of the nine times I've been there, they've gotten my order wrong in some way. It's a decent option now that DeAndrea's is gone but I really want my order right.

In general I don't like my sandwiches over stuffed but these guys typically go too far the other way.

My three stars are based on the fact that they can't seem to get an order straight. Quality is good but I hate to get home, open the bag and something's wrong...

Best deli in the area. The owner is very nice and he is always proud to be there. Food is fresh and is made quick. They have a extensive menu of breakfast and lunch items and Baviellos under the new ownership is open longer which is perfect due to my work schedule. If I could rate higher stars I would. My favorite is the brophy wrap or shanley wrap. But everything else on the menu is just as good and they use Boars Head which in my opinion is the best meat you can have...
