I recently dined at The Hungry Greek, and I must say it was an outstanding experience. The restaurant boasts the best Greek food in town, and it absolutely lives up to that reputation. From the moment I stepped in, the fast and friendly service made me feel welcomed and taken care of.
Now, let's talk about the food. The pitas at The Hungry Greek are simply amazing. Each bite was filled with delicious flavors that transported me to Greece. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the attention to detail was evident in every dish. Whether it was the perfectly seasoned gyro meat, the crisp vegetables, or the creamy tzatziki sauce, every component complemented each other beautifully.
What impressed me the most was the consistency. Every visit to The Hungry Greek has been met with the same high-quality standards. The dedication to using fresh ingredients and preparing each dish with care shines through in every bite.
Not only is the food exceptional, but the ambiance of the restaurant is also delightful. The warm and inviting atmosphere adds to the overall experience, making it a perfect place to enjoy a meal with family and friends.
If you're craving Greek cuisine, I highly recommend The Hungry Greek. Their commitment to delivering outstanding food, fast friendly service, and consistently fresh ingredients sets them apart. Treat yourself to a taste of Greece—you won't be...
Read moreWe've been coming to Hungry Greek since 2010 when we moved to Westchase. We used to love the gyros, salads, etc and always had enough food for a meal and some leftovers. The prices were always high but we thought we'll worth it. Over the years the portions have halved, the orders are always missing something, and the prices have increased year over year. I remember we used to order the greek gyro and it was over flowing with gyro meat and the pita was huge! Tonight we got a gyro and it was the size of a child's portion of a pita at a fast food restaurant. I actually thought it was a kids meal for my daughter. They also skimped on the meat and beets (I thought it was a vegetarian meal because I had to dig around for scraps of chicken, not even strips literally scraps) and they forgot the tzaziki sauce. That's the best part! Food costs have gone up, but customers shouldn't feel hungry after paying $15 plus for what looks nd tastes like an overpriced kids meal. Not worth it anymore. Do yourself a favor and make your own gyro at home for a tenth of the cost! Or find a greek restaurant outside of westchase that isn't ripping you off. They are definitely taking advantage of...
Read more**I’ve been a loyal customer of Hungry Greek in Westchase for a long time. I’ve always enjoyed the food and cleanliness, and in the past I even gave them a 5-star review. Unfortunately, in my last several visits, the food quality has gone down drastically. Today it was so bad that I had to throw my meal straight into the trash — the meat smelled old, and I couldn’t even bring it close to my nose.
I called the store and complained respectfully, as I always do. The gentleman I spoke with said they would credit me back, but as of now I haven’t seen it. That part is not as important as the fact that customers should never be served old meat or food cooked with burned oil.
After spending almost $60 for three sandwiches that were inedible, I cannot recommend this place anymore until I personally see improvements. For now, I’ve taken down my positive review and left one star. If they credit me back and make the necessary changes, I am willing to give them one last chance. But unless things change, this was my...
