ALDI — Local services in Oldsmar

Pros: As a native born German (Meanwhile Proud US-American!!!) I like to find items like German bratwurst, chocolate, pickles, sauerkraut and ginger bread at xmas times which reminds me in quality and taste to the past life in Deutschland.

Besides that I found the lowest prices of all grocery stores in my area HERE at ALDI. Even better prices as Costco and Walmart!

Very friendly employees.

Very clean restrooms.

My only Con: I miss sparkling sugar free soft drinks (except Summit Cola but that only in cans, never in 2 liter bottles) 😞 As that is my personal preference it did not affect my 5 star...

This was my first trip here since the recent grand opening. I passed this store many times coming home from the racetrack. I picked up a couple items expecting to check out quickly. But to my surprise, no self checkout 😪 I placed my items in the cooler instead of walking them all the way to the back of the store. Where is the shelf checkout?? I shopped as normal and had my bags full only to be stuck at checkout for much longer than expected.

There was a single cashier and several individuals with quite a few groceries. Never a problem in the other store with self checkout. One single lane one cashier, lots of waiting. The GRAND opening feels more like a letdown.
